“Traditional German Gasthaus with a fabulous hostess.”
Beautiful very quiet location in a traditional guest house. Ample parking. The hostess Angelique was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for her. The Gasthaus is in a very small hamlet in the countryside, good for walks. No facilities in a walk able distance but there is a bar available for guests which was very useful. Breakfast was served each morning and included home made jams which were delicious. We also had dinner one evening which saved driving into the town. There are not many cooking implements in the room and no toaster so being able to have breakfast and dinner on site was an advantage. Pottenstein itself is very pretty and the castle is worth a visit for the views. The area is very scenic and worth visiting.

“Amazing hosts, great guest house, perfect for families”
Angelique and Remi are very welcoming hosts in a wonderful guest house. They greeted us to show us the rooms and were always available for questions. The guest house is really lovely with a big outdoor space. They also have great beer on tap. Overall, the hosts go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable. To give one example, since it was Eastern they surprised our daughter and other kids around with Easter chocolate.
