“Beautiful villa hotel close to Sans-Souci palace”

The hotel is a beautiful villa with garden offering a wonderful view over the city of Potsdam. It is located 5 - 10 min walk from the Sans-Souci palace and garden and 15 - 20 min from the city center. The area is residential with beautiful villas and buildings. The room we were given is located in a building detached from the villa. It was spacious and with direct access to the garden. It is equipped with eveeything we needed. Breakfast is served in the villa and it offers savoury ans sweet dishes. The hotel has paid parking slots which we used. The hotel is on the mid-high price but the quality, the beautiful villa and accommodation justifies it. Recommended.

The hosts were very helpfull. Incredible breakfast with many options. Room was very quiet, very clean, super confy beds, detailed oriented and cosy style in the room and all hotel. It is not so far from center as well (1.5-2.0 km short walk). Very close to the palaces and park. There are bikes to rent, probaby very helpfull in the summer as the park is huge. We visited Potsdam in winter but we promissed to come back in summer, in the same cosy place.

“We paid but didn’t actually stay the night due to complications”

We are unable to fairly rate this hotel despite paying close to 170 euros. Much to our surprise we actually arrived a day late ! This was totally our fault. We had been on a 6 country, 17 city, 15 hotel tour of Europe and got our days mixed up. What did surprise us however was the lack of honesty from the lady at reception. When it was quick established we had got our day wrong the lady explained they had been trying to contact me all day and that even the manager and Booking.com had tried to call ? I showed her my phone with no calls or missed calls from Germany. The lady then offered us a new room for the night at another additional 170 Euros telling me Booking.com would refund me to previous missed night. Being suspicious I checked and found Booking.com had marked us down as a “No Show” and as per the terms and conditions we would need to pay the full amount and the additional charges for the new “extra” day we were being encouraged to take. We decided to move on to a different more honest hotel instead. I fully except the error was ours but feel strongly that we were having the wool pulled over our eyes which only made the matters worse.

The location is great. That is why I chose the hotel. Check-in was easy and where I met the only friendly staff I encountered during my stay. Small bags of lavender for a good night sleep are a nice touch.

The hotel was charming and peaceful, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere. The room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were very friendly and professional. The breakfast was delicious and served with care. The location is ideal — close to the palace and other key attractions in Potsdam.

Hotel Villa Monte is run by owners who care about the standard, comfort and friendliness of their hotel and staff. This hotel is one of the best I have stayed at whilst travelling. It is very good value for money. They want guests to relax and enjoy time out, and do everything they can to honour that statement.

I chose this hotel for its proximity to Sanssouci Palace: 10 minutes' walk. The breakfast was excellent and the room very comfortable.

This is a very beautiful hotel which has gorgeous rooms which are spotlessly clean and with everything you might wish for your comfort. I met two of the staff - one an Italian lady and the other Dutch both could not have been more helpful. Thank you I shall stay again en route to my regular missions in Ukraine

“The best location if you want to visit Sanssouci”

It is a nice and cosy hotel, located at walking distance from Sanssouci Palace. We arrived around 13.00, well ahead of the check-in time which is later than usual at this hotel but our room was ready and we could get into it without a problem. The person at the reception was very friendly and spoke English. There is a parking space on a hotel site and it costs 15 euros per night. Our room was neat and clean with some pleasant welcome things. The breakfast in the morning had a great variety of food and was served in a spacious room. Special thanks for a strong espresso (in some hotels they also have a coffee machine but espresso is weak) In the hotel, the rooms do not have numbers but bear nice geographic or historic names.

“Comfortable and calm stay in Potsdam”

The room had all necessary things and even more (sewing kit, toothbrushes, safe and so on). There were no noise and we slept well. The villa is located really close to San souci and to the city center.

Excellent location to explore the park and Sanssouci Palace as the hotel is literaly just a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The breakfast had plenty of options to choose from.
