Chris and Hanna are excellent hosts, always at your service. The accommodation is fantastic, the breakfast is great, the peace and quiet of the surroundings is wonderful. If you are not sure what you would like to see in Slovenia, feel free to ask Chris for advice, he has great ideas and knows how to explain in detail and even draw a route for it.

We had a great 4-night stay at Lipizzaner Lodge. Location is great and we took in day trips to Triglav National Park, Lake Bled and Lake Bohinj, Soca Valley, the nearby Postojna & Skocjan Caves and the coast. Lots to do locally too and we would like to return and chill at some of the other nearby sites. Fantastic breakfast and we had dinner on our first evening. We stayed in a fabulous spacious apartment that was very well equipped and very clean. Chris gave us very detailed advice each evening on what we were going to do the following day - his local knowledge definitely enhanced our trip and we got the most out of each day we spent here. We loved the personal touch here - would definitely recommend! Thank you Chris & Hannah for a very enjoyable stay.

“Brilliant”

This is an amazing gem which I almost don’t want to promote because it was so brilliant. I travelled with my son and it was perfect for both of us. There are enough activities to spend over 2 weeks in the same spot without getting bored. My son loved all the hidden games and he also tried horse riding. There are breath taking treks which you can literally walk out of the Lodge to do and I couldn’t recommend it more.

Chris has immense local knowledge and can help you plan your days.

Everything is well thought out and well planned. Chris was very involved in planning our daily itinerary, and both he and Hanna were friendly and welcoming, and made a real effort Loved the horses and cats Peaceful country setting, and not too far to drive to a number of attractions

“Perfect location out in the country, thoroughly recommend”

Chris and Hanna are wonderful hosts. chris picked me up from Postojna train station and Hanna dropped me back at the bus station a few days later. delicious home-cooked food. Chris escorted me on a brilliant e-mountain bike ride before leaving me at Predjama Castle to allow me time to explore on my own. Thoroughly recommend staying at Landol if you enjoy the outdoors, being centrally based for caves, castle and beach and especially if you like cycling.

Excellent location in green Slovenia! So many opportunities to explore the locality direct from this location. Very clean, beautiful gardens and a fantastic apartment. The hosts Chris and Hannah were so amenable, attentive and very helpful.

“Surprise near Postojna”

Our stay was extraordinary. In case it is possible I would give them 20 out of 10. Room was clean, breakfast perfect and dinner excellent. Garden is very nice and cats and horses... you don't need TV, just enjoy these beautifil Lipizzaner horses and show only for you... or do you know what? Do not hesitate and book your holiday there... you will not regret...

“Fantastic farmstay with homely hospitality”

We love having animals nearby and the hosts were very hospitable and humourous. The room was also kept very clean. House rules are clear and the dining areas (both outdoors and indoors) are really lovely.
