Huge thanks to Trish and Kyle for their warm welcome to their property. The well maintained cottages really take you back to a simpler time, allowing you to really keep things simple and take in all the area has to offer. The place was well stocked to allow us to cook and chill to some island drinks. The beach towels were a huge plus. Their recommendations were helpful and right on.

“Enjoying a piece of Paradise”

We arrived to get the warmest of welcomes from Trish, with all the insider information of things to do in the area. The Bungalows are nestled among all sorts of trees and plants so that we were usually woken by the songs of birds in the morning. The tranquility of the place really makes you relax. Inside we found everything we needed for cooking, the bathroom was nice and spacious as was the comfy bed. We would definitely come again, and stay much longer then only 3 days!

Beautiful place and very friendly welcome by the owner and her son. It is not far away from a supermarket but you need a car to visit the island from the resort.

“Apartments in nature”

Everything was great. We got really spacious room. It is calm and quiet place. The best thing is that we saw dominica parrots around our apartments! It is close to Indian river (about 5 minutes by car) and it is good area for exploring north of the island. We also got some useful tips from the host.

“Spacious and comfortable accommodation”

The cottage was really spacious, with a lovely large bathroom with a walk-in shower with hot water, and a dressing room. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed having the terrace to sit out on. We asked last minute to change our check in time and this was very kindly accommodated. Location is great for exploring the north of Dominica, and Trish gave us some great recommendations for local restaurants and attractions. We also loved being accompanied on walks by the resident dog Pinot, who is very cute!

“A perfect place to stay for exploring the north of the island”

A very nice cottage with lots of new equipment. Excellent and large bed and bathroom. Good space to sit outside and inside. Tranquil and pretty gardens and very quiet overall. Trish and Kyle and super hosts. We loved our stay there.

We were very well received by Trish and Kyle upon our arrival. The place is quiet and very clean. Kyle recommended many places to visit or eat. We would have stayed longer.

Nice and quiet location, clean and comfortable cottage, with complete kitchen equipment and mosquito netting on all windows. A good bed and a good working airconditioning in the bedroom and nice to have a ceiling fan in the living room and bedroom. Trish and Kyle are very friendly and hospitable and always helpful with tips and advice. Good location to discover the northwest, and walking distance to the sea and some restaurants.

We loved the place itself, really nicely maintained, big bedroom, loved the toilet and all the nature around it! Nice place to meet the north of the island and not that far from the Trois pitton national park! Amazing!

The surroundings and setting of the property are great. Lots of vegetation and in general quiet. All you might need in your cottage. Could see birds, and lizards and frogs from the balcony. Walking distance to the supermarkets.

Kootney Resorts is amazing, wonderful gardens to enjoy whilst sitting on the patio. Everything you need is in the cottage and the hosts are wonderful.

We spent a wonderful week at Kootney Resorts. The experience was fantastic, thanks to Trish, the owner, who was incredibly helpful in suggesting great restaurants, trips, and hikes for us. The resort, with its 15 cottages, was beautifully serene, surrounded by plenty of trees and tranquility. The cottages were excellent, equipped with everything necessary for a comfortable stay. Really friendly and helpful hosts with good local knowledge. Quiet resort, felt safe and could park the car close to our room. Close to highway which made it easy to get around. Good storage in the bedroom and bathroom.

Location perfect

We stayed at Kootney resorts for 7 nights. The accommodation was well equipped including a TV with netflix everything was exceptionally clean.. The bed was huge and comfortable and the walk- in shower was the biggest I'd ever seen. The seated outside patio had a great view of the rainforest and we were lucky to see parrots everyday. Great value for money. Hope to stay there again one day.

Charming, cosy cottage in delightful surroundings. We had everything we needed for a self-catering holiday. Our hosts, Trish and Kyle, were kind and helpful.We suggest hiring a car to make the most of seeing all this beautiful island has to offer. Excellent value for money.
