“Such a beautiful place to stay!”
Perfect location, right on the main square, right near the bus, ferry stop, restaurants and cafes, and easy to get to the Chiesa and Byron's Grotto. Really lovely hotel. Breakfast on the terrace was a wonderful experience! Hotel staff were really helpful and the room was comfortable and really well appointed.

“Gorgeous location in Portovenere”
The location of Torre a Mare was perfect for venturing into Cinque Terre. A little removed from La Spezia bit there was plenty to do on our days in Portovenere and an easy taxi ride into La Spezia! Martina was a wonderful and attentive breakfast host, and the view from our room to the harbour was magnificent.

Breakfast on the balcony overlooking the harbour, with fresh flowers on the tables. Comfy bed and bedding. Kind and helpful staff. Porto Venere is a charming place and you are right in the heart of the old village.

“Porto Venere is delightful - a wonderful base from which to explore the Cinque Terre”
Great welcome and stunning location. Lots of lovely restaurants to choose from and very easy to travel from Porto Venere to explore the rest of the Cinque Terre. We loved coming back to PV in the evenings - lots to explore in the town itself and so much nicer than the hustle of the other Cinque Terre villages. The Torre is right in the centre and very picturesque. Breakfast on the small terrace was nice with fresh orange juice and delicious pastries from the owners bakery.

“Torre a Mare offers excellent accommodation with newly renovated rooms and great comfort.”
Porto Venere is a hidden gem, less known and promoted than Cinque Terre. While it can be a bit tricky to reach by car, it’s absolutely worth the effort—and Torre a Mare stands out as the best accommodation in the area. The room we stayed in was newly renovated, featuring a comfortable bed and a beautifully designed bathroom.
