“Worth visiting”

This was probably one of the best places I have stayed during my travels. It was pretty much perceft. The room had a small balcony under the lemon tree, well decorated rooms and a shared terrace up the roof which was perfect for just hanging around, having some coffee or drinks, playing cards or just looking at the (very nice) views to the Mediterranean Sea. The owner was very welcoming and helpful, breakfast was provided in the cafe near by. Porto Venere may lack bit of Cinque Terre vibes (less dramatic coastline), however this place makes it worth visiting.

The room, was clean spacious & had everything you need including a fridge containing complimentary water & prosecco. The communal terrace upstairs had wonderful views over the bay & the option to purchase drinks. Beppe (owner) was wonderful, guided us to the property & provided us with recommendations for the area & restaurants. He was so lovely to chat to. It was a real shame we only had one night here, will definitely return 😁

“Location, Views and a few extras!”

Beppe our host was fantastic! Room was spacious and had tea/coffee facilities. We chose the room with a view which was great. Room had plenty of storage for clothes/luggage plus a fridge. La Tortuga also has a communal balcony that has a great view with tables and lounges to share, and a fridge to purchase drinks from. It also has a proper coffee machine. We parked our car here for free, then walked or caught a bus. Town is 6 min walk from hotel, beach is 2 min walk. For breakfast you are given a voucher to eat at a local cafe, which was plenty for a meal of eggs, ham, cheese and coffee each. Highly recommend this accommodation!

“😰🥹”

Ouff did not really like it. First it needed refreshing and a very good cleaning inside and out. For breakfast at the local restaurant the mone was extremely good. What they don’t tell you is that you need to go down and upstairs at least 30 stairs specially at night not much lighting and a good 10 minutes walk to go there. I am 67 and partly blind 😰. The lounge upstairs has a good view but also some love not sure 🤔 very clean. We travel 25 days all over Italy and it was the first time I wanted to leave the place

Great location, nice and quiet but close to town. The view was amazing. The rooftop was well stocked with things if you want to eat/ have a drink up there. Host Beppe was lovely too, he greeted us at the parking spot and showed us to our room. The free brekky was good too!

We had a truly memorable stay at Affittacamere La Tortuga from July 17–20. This charming guesthouse offers a spectacular 180-degree sea view that instantly sets the tone for a relaxing and rejuvenating getaway. The terrace is a dream—equipped with sunbeds, a refreshing outdoor shower, and a shaded lounge area perfect for unwinding with a cold drink or a complimentary coffee. Starting the day here with a cup of tea or coffee while soaking in the view was pure bliss. The host, Beppe, is an absolute treasure. Warm, welcoming, and incredibly service-minded, he has created a space that feels both authentic and personal. He was always available to share local tips, recommend restaurants, and help plan sightseeing adventures. His passion for hospitality truly shines through in every detail. The room, while not overly spacious, was clean, fresh, and had comfortable beds—perfectly suitable for a short stay. The location is also ideal, just a 5–7 minute walk to the center of Portovenere, making it easy to explore the town. One thing to note: breakfast is served at Moon Café, a short walk away. Beppe provides vouchers, but the value doesn’t quite cover the cost of the food and drinks. That said, the breakfast itself is delicious and worth the visit. Overall, La Tortuga is a fantastic place to stay—peaceful, picturesque, and hosted with genuine care. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience the beauty of Portovenere with a personal touch!

Great location moments from the beach. Friendly and helpful host.

“Exceptional”

Breakfast was great at the nearby cafe. Super standard in everything. Car parking place overnight which helped greatly. Beppe our host was exceptional again in all he did. Nothing was too much trouble. Third visit. We will come again.

Great location, nice room, clean. Close to everything including a great little swim spot just across the road. Great terrace where we spent afternoons relaxing. A fabulous host, Beppe , who went out of his way to help us with some problems we had with train tickets. Organised transport for us for when we left . Nothing was too much trouble for him, very welcoming and always helping with luggage up the steps.

“A friendly and beautiful place to stay.”

We had such a perfect four days here. The room was comfortable and clean, and the view was amazing. Beppe made us feel extremely welcome and it couldn’t have been more relaxing. Porto Venere is a lovely place to visit with great restaurants and lovely walks. The boat trips to the Cinque Terre and Palmaria island opposite are frequent and only a five minute walk away. We really liked the terrace above the rooms with coffee machine, sun loungers, and fridge/mini bar. We had takeaway pizza up there one night which was a great experience. Breakfast was very nice and with very flexible timings in Moon Bar, which is a nice five minute walk away by the sea. There is free private parking right beside the property.

“Super accomodation”

Lovely accommodation in a great location with helpful host. Very comfortable room, quiet & dark at night, comfortable bed, good aircon and shower. Fab shared balcony with free coffee! We swam off the steps at the bottom of the road, bring water shoes to make entry easier. Plenty of good seafood restaurants nearby. Enjoyable breakfast at Moon - great service and a super location to watch the world go by.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming B&B! From the moment we arrived, Beppe was incredibly friendly and welcoming. He went out of his way to help us with parking, which was much appreciated after a long drive. Even more thoughtful, he assisted us with making a dinner reservation at the next place we were heading—such a kind gesture that made our trip even smoother. The room itself was lovely, with a truly fantastic view that we’ll remember for a long time. The location couldn’t have been better—easy parking and just a short walk to the harbor and city center. We couldn’t have asked for a better base for exploring the area. Highly recommended!

“Great short stay in scenic Portovenere”

We only stopped for one night on our way to southern italy but Beppe made sure we were greeted with a cold bottle of prosecco and a quick tour of the room with a fab view from balcont and even better from the terrace area. We had everything we needed and the bed was really comfy .Portovenere is a lovely little waters edge village and although it was raining you could defentaly appreciate how beautiful it is . Some great reccomnedations for restaurants (some are closed on a monday ) we had a lovely dinner and although the breakfast reviews are good we had to get pn the rd early …Beppe was very converned we went without breakfast 😍 he couslnt have been more helpful . We would love to return

From booking, Beppe was a perfect host. The room was lovely with everything we needed and more. Beautiful place to visit! Highly recomend!!!

Beautiful location, wonderful hosts. Home cooked food provided every morning on the rooftop terrace. A gorgeous room and all facilities provided. We loved everything about this property. Could not recommend it higher.
