“Amazing stay for 5 nights with clean rooms and friendly staff”

Really cute pink and clean hotel situated very close to the Barbarossa beach with restaurants and beachshop. Very nice outside areas to sit in the morning or evening, to enjoy breakfast or a glass of Prosecco from the hotel bar. Very clean rooms with fresh towels and housekeeping everyday. Very polite and friendly staff. Family run hotel and the owner was very helpful and friendly, helped us with all the info needed to enjoy Porto Azzurro the most and helped us book a taxi very early in the morning to catch a ferry from Portoferraio. It is about 15-20 minutes walking distance to the centre but there is a free shuttle bus going every 10 minutes from 20-24 pm. Nice clean pool and hot tub outside and beautiful garden with palm trees. Very nice breakfast area in side downstairs but we mostly enjoyed it outside in one of the pavillions. Would definitely stay here again, very beautiful and clean place.

I had the pleasure of staying at the Villa Rossa hotel, and one of the highlights of my experience was its immediate proximity to Barbarossa Beach. The hotel's location is truly unbeatable for beach lovers, offering easy access to the beautiful Barbarossa Beach just a stone's throw away. In addition to its convenient location near the beach, the hotel maintains a high standard of cleanliness and the rooms are of adequate size. The pleasant balcony provided a nice view, and the staff, while discreet, were friendly and welcoming. The compact swimming pool and the jacuzzi add a pleasant touch to the experience, and the quality of breakfast deserves to be highlighted as it exceeds Italian standards. Despite minor inconveniences, the Villa Rossa hotel's prime location near Barbarossa Beach makes it a great choice for those looking to enjoy sun, sand, and sea during their stay. Economically speaking, it is important to emphasize that the value-for-money service situation is very compelling. There are three restaurants nearby: two at the beach and one (excellent) along the road. It is likely that to access other shops/restaurants, you will need to take the car. I would certainly consider returning for another beach getaway at this charming hotel.

“Lovely hotel in Porto Azzuro”

We loved having the pool as an option as well as the local beach being only a 5 minute walk. Breakfast was lovely with sweet and savoury options plus coffee, tea and fruit juice. Staff were all really friendly and helpful. The hotel room and facilities were kept really clean. Our balcony was especially generous in size (rm12) with a view of the mountains to the right.

“Nice staff, crazy but good breakfast, terrible wifi”

It was close to the beach ( I use the term “beach” loosely here, it has sea water and sun lounges but the stuff that is the sand replacement was more akin to rough tree mulch and rocks and about the same colour), but it is still in walking distance. the nearest town ( bit of a hike on the coastal trail) and a number of reasonably priced eateries.
