“Lovely stay”

Super friendly staff, great hospitality and yummy food. The location is simply amazing. At night we got to see so many stars! Absolutely worth it and good value for money.

A peaceful and unique atmosphere, everything is clean, the residents are wonderful, and there are no disturbances or anything of the sort. It's a fantastic experience.

“Unique and unforgettable”

Unbelievable experience- to stay with a view of Pico Fogo right in front of you, day and night. Marisa provides everything you need, our excellent guide up the volcano, transfers from Sao Philipe, pack lunches, lunch, dinner etc. We took a number of meals in town however just to meet the village. Everyone was so friendly, and happy to have us. Our roundelle was perfect for the view but also our private roof terrace with hammocks and sofa.

The location and landscapes are impressive, the architecture is very local and traditional.

A bit expensive for what it is. Never received the invoice that I requested when I checked-out, despite several requests via booking and whatsapp.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Exceptional stay – highly recommended! I had a wonderful stay at Casa Marisa 2.0, where I rented a single room, and everything exceeded my expectations. The location is absolutely stunning – peaceful, unique, and surrounded by breathtaking nature. One of the highlights was the rooftop terrace with a hammock, offering an unforgettable view of the volcano. Watching the landscape from there was truly magical. The room was excellent: clean, comfortable, and very well designed. The underfloor heating was a fantastic surprise and made evenings especially cozy. The food was delicious, freshly prepared, and full of local flavor. On top of that, the service was outstanding – warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. You really feel taken care of here. This place has a special atmosphere, combining comfort, amazing views, and exceptional hospitality. I would gladly return and highly recommend Casa Marisa 2.0 to anyone visiting the area.

This is where the excursion to the Pico do Fogo starts. The host, Mustafa, will give you the right tips and will find a guide for your hike. Marisa's cuisine is splendid (and we are a vegan and a vegetarian) and the staff are very kind.

Superfriendly hosts, perfect planning, good food and wine

Probably the best stay in the Caldeira. Mustafa, Marisa and all their team went above and beyond to help me and others with tours and suggestions. Food is super nice, and one of the fastest WiFis I ever had. Did the Pico hike with one of his guide, departing 6 and still there was breakfast before. On my departure day i hiked down to Mosteiros and Mustafa organised for my backpack and a driver to wait for me at the end of the hike to go to the airport.

Hotel in an extraordinary environment, with a beautiful garden and outstanding view. Everything is well organized and clean. The food and wine are on a high quality level, very friendly staff. The hotel has its own guides for the hikes, everybody involved to the business (owner, staff, guides) did a great job. The people at this location are hard working and offer a quality which is beyond normal cabo verde standards. The owner Marisa is a good leader and her husband Mustafa did a lot for the environment, like a new ladder to access the caves. Special thanks to Carlos Fernandez, the guide and wine farmer, who brought me to Pico de Fogo and the caves and showed me around the island the next day. I can definitely recommend him as a very experienced guide.

“Absolutely amazing”

There are too many things to name. Mustafa is the best host ever who puts so much care into making sure the guests have their best experience! We arrived early (at 8am) but were able to check in and our room was amazing (bungalow and the hammock on the top with volcano view) Mustafa was so kind to recommend us so many activities (mountain biking, wine tasting…), arranged our hike to the volcano, allowed us to use the shower even when we already checked out, made sure to help us to get to the airport in time for the flight… Fogo is such an amazing island, but what we miss the most is our stay at Casa Marisa :)

The location is perfect for hikes, it's close to Fogo volcano. The staff offers all kinds of help, they can schedule transfers, guides etc.. The food is tasty and the rooms are clean. Highly recommend for your next adventure in the area

“Unique stay!”

Location, location, location, the staff, the food, the funco's, the stars at night, its another world. A unique opportunity to sleep in a vulcano landscape. We had hot water and internet (4G) connection (esim) in our funco. Most of the people come here to climb the pico, we didn't, but there are enough other options for walking, cycling, etc. Try to rent a car if you come here, so you can drive to see the most wonderful sceneries. The owner Mustafa is the most helpfull, always there to answer your questions and help you with anything.

“Will not advise to go there if you are alone...and too expensive...”

Sensation of being at McDonalds, meaning you get your order, and good bye. Lets move to the next one. Also when the question came how the breakfast was it was expeditory. You come sit and eat... (could not even asked nothing else...) Result: Not really willing to ask anything else. Trying to get info from other people/via other ways... Sadly, the people were not even replying to the good day... The attention was going only to big groups with guides/or couples with guides. If you are alone look for another place... Also very expensive...that is what I learned after talking with other people outside of the place.
