“Good for an overnight stay”
The bed and breakfast is in a perfect location, with a large garden and views to the sea. The staff was very attentive and welcomed us with homemade cookies. The room was not very big but okay. Breakfast was nice.

“Beautiful Country Inn”
We were pleased with this little gem during our travels. Enjoyed the history of the Inn along with being able to sit on the public balcony, drink in hand, and watch the sunset over the water. Great breakfast with diningrm setting.

“Comfortable stay in a historic building in the peaceful village of Port Hood.”
Amazing staff that went out of their way to make guests welcome and comfortable. There wasn’t a fridge in the room so we were able to store some things in the main kitchen. We had a picnic dinner on the front porch one evening (and watched the sunset) and staff helped with everything we needed including ice and wine glasses. Hot and cold options for breakfast every day. They make the most amazing oat cookies in house (forgot the name but they are a Cape Breton specialty).

A beautiful, old property with lots of character. The hot buffet breakfast was wonderful, along with the server, who went out of her way to make it enjoyable.

“It was such a treat to stay at Hillcrest that we plan to stay again.”
What can I say. It was a perfect one night stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful. Our room was spotless and beautifully decorated, bed very comfortable and bathroom perfect with lots of hot water and fluffy towels. The dining room was beautiful and breakfast hot and nicely cooked and presented. Altogether a wonderful stay . We plan to go again.

“A delightful accommodation which ticks all the boxes in Port Hood”
The Hillcrest Hall Country Inn overlooks the bay at Port Hood and is situated on the main street with restaurants nearby. The rooms were very comfortable and were en-suite. Breakfast was provided with cereals, hot food and cold meats, breads, cakes so something for everyone. I chose this location which is just off the Cabot trail based on reviews by others and was not disappointed. There were great views from the room and the hills of the Cabot Trail could be seen
