Very cute hotel, on the eastern coast of Jamaica. It can be a great starting place to explore that corner of Jamaica up to the north eastern beaches of Jamaica, and the Reach Falls (take the hike from the bottom of the river to the fall park!). Breakfast was included, and fair, on Jamaican style (time was a bit late: 9-10am). The entire staff was very welcoming and helpful. Our cottage was nice for two people, with AC and fridge. Jamaican menu available for dinner.

This location was very beautiful the plants and walkways surrounding the property made it mystical and enchanting. The cabins were clean and comfortable. The staff members were friendly and inviting. The calming voice of Marlon immediately made you feel welcome at the property. Overall a peaceful tranquil stay away from the hustle and bustle of town life!

Fantastic eco get away..the senerity of the property was just what we were looking for. Close to attractions..beach..waterfalls etc. Biggest selling point was the staff..Friendly and attentive..made us feel like family. I cant wait to go back. Movie night on Sunday by the pool was a hit with everyone.

“A gem in East Portland”

This hotel is a gem in East Portland. We have visited Jamaica many times over the years and stayed in different styles of hotels and guest houses in all parts of the island, and to date I can say that the owner, Marlon, is the best host i have met in Jamaica. Right from before our arrival to the end of our stay we felt welcomed and comfortable. He gave us lots of useful advice on things to do in the area. The staff is very friendly, we were very well looked after. The hotel is very well presented. We were a group of 5 , and stayed in one of the cabins and one of the garden rooms, which are nested in lush tropical plants and flowers. That makes them feel very private. The rooms are pretty (especially the cabin) and spacious, and very clean and comfy. The WiFi coverage is great everywhere in the hotel . The bar by the swimming pool has a good selection of drinks and hot food if you don't feel like venturing out, as well as a selection of games to keep the family entertained. The hotel also has several view points overlooking the sea by the cliffs. Great spot to watch the sunrise. Note : although there is an access to the bottom of the cliffs just outside the hotel, there is no beach as such within walking distance, but there are beaches within a few minutes drive. Attractions like Reach Falls, Boston bay , Blue Lagoon are all within easy reach by car. We will definitely come back if we visit this area again !

“It was disastrous. Did Booking.com even send a Hotel Critic to inspect and review this hotel?”

1). The hotel was way below expectation, Booking.com advertised the hotel as situated in Port Antonio, it was in Kensington, 27km from Port Antonio. The was remote and we felt very isolated. The hotel was advertised as being 800 meters from Long Beach, it was in fact, 4.2 km from Long Beach. We cannot recall seeing a children’s playground or billiards table as advertised, I can however recall seeing cheap children’s pool table. 2). The food and customer service were poor. The fried dumplings weren’t edible, they were rock hard. We were each given one slice of bread. When asked for butter, we were advised that there wasn’t any and were offered jam as an alternative. The girl who cooked the breakfast needs cookery lessons and basic customer services training. 3). The road outside the hotel was unbelievably bad, driving along it was akin to being in a dingy on ocean during a hurricane. 4). The bedroom was open to the bathroom/toilet, so use of the bathroom or toilet, would adversely impacted the bedroom. 5). The room was without a bedside table, wardrobe to hang our clothes, a table/bench/stool to rest your luggage on when retrieving clothes, or a safe to store your valuables, i.e. money/passport. 6). Not all windows to the room had blinds or curtains and so privacy was nonexistent. 7). There was a floodlight fixed at high level outside our room and so the room was very bright at nights so we weren't able to get a good night’s sleep. We had to use pillows to part block-out the light of one of the windows at nights and to offer some privacy. 8). In no way should Booking.com be describing this as being a 4-star hotel, it was anything but. In fact, we were so disillusioned and uncomfortable, that we booked out after only two nights. 9). Please provide me with the necessary claims form so that we may recover our costs.
