Cute house, cute garden, lovely host!

“Lovely short stay and convenient location with nice vibe”

The owner greeted us and we were able to chat and connect because we do similar activism and I've been to Italy before. I was given a choice as to where we could stay and invited to the local evening entertainment which i wouldn't have known about if the owner hadn't told me. There is a beach near by and it is lovely. its unassuming from the outside but once you enter the gate it is very peaceful and has a lovely vibe to it.

The location is quite good if you have your own wheels; otherwise, the guesthouse will provide a relieable taxi for you; there are many beautiful beaches nearby. Both the room and the common areas are clean and cutely decorated. Both the room and the bathroom were large enough and well lit, allowing to read in bed. Breackfast was tasty and dinner was always excellent. All the staff members are efficient and kind. Last but not least, the owner is an extraordinary Italian lady who will provide lots of information about the area and also about Jamaica: she has been living in the country for more than 30 years and works there as a Human Rights activist.

Perfect location for nearby birdwatching places for me. Lovely garden..Carla was really accommodating and promptly replied to messages.

“A nice accomandation to stay where you meet other nice people”

You should definitely stock up on cash in Port Antonio. Drapers has a small shop where you can get everything what you neee. The accommodation is located right next to a small park with access to the sea. It's a wonderful place to relax. You have the option of cooking for yourself or ordering breakfast and dinner there. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need; only a few knives were missing during our stay. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. It's lovely to sit on the terrace in the evenings and enjoy the garden. Our host was very kind and asked daily if everything was alright, if we needed anything, or if she should bring us anything when she left the house.

Drapers is an amazing, tiny, rustic guest house. Carla and her staff are welcoming, kind, and helpful any moment, for anything. It is located just few minutes away from Port Antonio, but it is a central, perfect location to drive to main beaches and attractions. Drapers also offers many other services that tourists surely would enjoy: paddleboard, tour guide, and so on. There is a free little beach (Sanco beach) just around the corner. The breakfast was great: honestly, Jamaican breakfast was much better and totally overcoming the continental one, but remember to ask for it 1 or 2 days before. The place is silent and surrounded by nature. Here you can feel cultural and natural vibes as in few other places. It needs little, tiny things to fix but I recommend it 100% for a nice, short stop of few days in Portland, to enjoy peace, relax and comfort.

I absolutely love the location of this guest house. It's right next to the beach and you can easily get into town or in the opposite direction to Boston. I stayed in a different room to the one I booked but it wasn't a problem as Carla is wonderful and always does her best to accommodate and look after me and her guests every time I stay!

Fair price. Close to the best beach on the island.

The location was excellent, walking distance to Frenchman’s Cove beach, Blue Lagoon, and many bars. The place was very cozy, and everything was very clean.

Excellent location in between Port Antonio and the beaches, very helpful and friendly owner and staff, clean, cozy and comfortable, delicious meals prepared in the guesthouse restaurant, affordable. It was really nice to sit and look out at the garden and hear the ocean so nearby.

Great value for the area and Carla the owner is very helpful and lovely. I felt at home even though I stayed just one night. Appreciated the mosquito nets and flexibility with breakfast choice

The breakfast was delicious: omelette with as much toast as I wanted; tea/ herbal tea and fruits - citrus, papaya, pineapple.

Carla and TJ went above and beyond In my situation. I ended up staying in a different room and it really felt like home for the four days that I was there.

Very lovely Garden and wonderful Host. Free Sanco Bay & supermarket just 5 minutes walk away. Stayed 3 weeks and enjoyed every day. Thanks Carla!
