“Probably one of the best places to stay in Poppi”

The people working here are very friendly. The room had one of the best views you can wish for. With a very short walk you are at Poppi castle

What a position! Lovely large airy room. No air con, but there was a fan in the room. The plentiful breakfast was served on the terrace

“Superb location”

The location is superb, set just below the castle inside the old walled town of Poppi. Parking is available right outside of the property and the views across Tuscany are incredible. The property is as old as the town itself and very comfortable with ensuite facilities and the views! A short walk up to the castle takes you to a small outside cafe/bar, which was closed, although nearby there is the Albergo Ristorante Casentino; very good and not expensive. A short stroll from the property in the old town there is also the Caffe Yandy and whilst the proprietor didn't speak any English we were able to enjoy a couple of large bottles of Morretti at €4 a pop sitting outside in the old street watching the world go by. Breakfast is a limited continental. We would highly recommend a stay at this property.

The kindness and helpfulness of the lady owner exceeded all my expectations. She willingly changed rooms for me when the opportunity arose, because I wanted to try a room with a balcony. She sent an assistant car and helped me with translation when my car broke down in a distant city. Whatever I asked, I got an answer from her, she provided a solution. The accommodation is breathtaking, wery clean, comfortable and quiet. The lady owner and his colleague are very kind, the landscape and the city are beautiful, and the nearby restaurants are excellent. It was amazing, thank you so much!

The hotel is very charming and recommended! Breakfast and view splendid.

The view was spectacular! The hosts were very nice, and provided us breakfast with her own baked cake. Room was clean and warm. Bed was comfortable.

Poppi is so peaceful. We love coming here and this is our favorite inn.

The receptionists were just wonderful, arranged for a driver to pick me up from the station and take me back the next day (I had to pay as I'd expected), they let me check in early and stay till the driver collected me, the breakfast was great, the room was spacious and comfortable, hot shower, beautiful view.

The hotel is part of the castle, opening the windows and seeing the beautiful fields of Tuscany - felt like prince and princess sleeping over :) Breakfast under the grapes with the view very romantic, absolutely worth it!
