Fabulous stay at Red Pepper. Fantastic location, just 5-10 walk down to the break with restaurants, shops all v close walking distance. Super clean and quiet with great kitchen on site to cook if needed. Private terrace with hammocks and chairs to chill in the heat of the day. Mark & Mariken were fantastic hosts, super accommodating with our every need. The curry / noodle nights were delicious, definitely book in for those !

Really enjoyed our stay here. The room was very spacious and stayed cool despite only having a ceiling fan and no air con. There's a great chill out area with hammocks. The kitchen was clean and well equipped. We appreciated having a shelf in the fridge and a food storage box allocated to each room. Great location right by the beach with cafès and a small supermarket nearby.

“Perfect place in Popoyo”

The location is situated perfect surrounded by the beach, restaurants & bars. The owners are super friendly, room and bed are very comfortable. You have your private upstairs terrace with hammocks ans seats , perfect to chill. Price/quality it is the best hotel we stayed in Nicaragua! Do not forget to book the curry they offer on Mondays, very worth it! Thank you for everything :) !!!!!

I Stayed here for 10 days and had an amazing time. The owners were so helpful during our stay. Very great location, mini mart 2 minute walk away and very close to cafes and restaurants along the street.

Spacious and clean rooms with a private rooftop terrace with chairs and hammocks. Bed is comfortable and Marc and Mariken are great hosts that can help you find your way in Popoyo. They serve great food on certain days too! Would definitely stay again. Location is super close to beach and beach bars and restaurants.

The Stay is very clean and the owners are very friendly and always happy to help! We wished we could’ve stayed longer than only a couple of days.

“Beautiful place to stay with wonderful hosts!”

Absolutely wonderful stay! Wish we could have stayed longer. The room was bigger than it looks in the pictures, everything was spotlessly clean and you an see the effort the owners have put into designing and maintaining the property. We were welcomed with a smile and suggestions of where to eat and what to do. There is a communal kitchen which had everything you need and more should you wish to cook or make coffee or tea. The roof terrace was a great place to hang out and felt relaxing and private. Highly recommend!

We were made to feel at home instantly! The whole place is completed to a high finish and is very clean and well laid out. One of our favourite places we stayed during our trip. I cannot recommend enough.

The rooms are spacious, clean, and modern. The private rooftop terrace is just a dream come true for morning coffee and hammock lovers! The common kitchen has everything you need and is super clean. The location was perfect for going to the beach and also participating in surf lessons. Marc and Mariken were so welcoming and helpful. We highly recommend Red Pepper to everyone who is looking for a relaxed stay at Popoyo beach!

The best accommodation during my travels in Nicaragua, in fact I stayed longer than expected. Pretty close to the beach, supermarket and restaurants/bars. The room has everything you need and it looks exactly like the pictures; your own terrace with hammocks are just perfect. Don’t miss the Curry Night on Monday. Marieke and Marc are absolutely amazing hosts, very friendly and helpful. Dank je wel!

Very clean, good location, lovely hosts

We loved our stay at Red Pepper so much! It has to be one of our favourite stays of our 7 months travelling. It felt beautifully homey with the welcoming Marc and Mariken hosting us as well as the incredible curry night! The room was spacious, clean and well thought out - with all the little things that you need! The rooftop terrace was the perfect spot to relax and watch the ocean. I would recommend this amazing accomodation to anyone!

Great owners and staff, clean / quiet / modern rooms with an upper deck for sitting, great communal kitchen, easy check-in, quick responses to questions, good wifi. Very close to the beach and a small grocery store. All-in-all a great place to stay.

“Relaxing stay at a great location”

This was a great beach escape for me, from the warm welcome of the owners, to the clean and well maintained room, access to a kitchen and easy access to the beach. All I needed. I am just sad I missed the famous curry night, but I will have to come back for that! :)
