The female dorm is actually really nice, the beds each have nets and are very comfortable (not bunks!!). The kitchen was nice too! I absolutely loved the common areas directly on the beach, you can lay in the couches or hammocks and doze off to the ocean sounds, it’s great.

Loved our stay at Escondide Pacifico The location is just perfect, no words needed. Steps from the water and the most beautiful sunsets from your hammock. Plenty of chill space and a nice crowd, the owner Alejo is just about the coolest guy you’ll ever meet. You won’t regret spending some time with him. Staff friendly and attentive, good value for money, and home to the best beach volleyball court on the Pacific coast Stay here 🤙

“Secret Paradise in Popoyo!”

Probably one of my favorite hostels on my trip in Central America! I love that there are no bunk beds so everyone has a single bed and it was very comfy. I loved waking up early in the morning and sitting by the beach. The sitting area was very comfortable and was perfect to cool down as sometimes it’s too hot to sit all day on the beach ! There are a few restaurants in the area and one little shop! There is a fruit truck that goes by everyday. Loved watching the sunset every evening from there.

A beautiful location, very clean, quiet. Beds had bug nets. Kitchen was clean with plenty of utensils. Owner was extremely helpful. Booked a taxi for me when I left. I loved my stay

Amazing location, right on the beach, 20 minute walk to Beginners Bay. Really comfy sofas in the seating area. Nice and small, so not overcrowded with guests.

A super chill little spot. Very quiet, not many people about when we were there, meaning there was a big area for chilling and kitchen was quiet too. Room comfy and good size tho I think if I went back to Popoyo I'd choose somewhere with Aircon !! Didn't see any boards for hire but given the distance to surf you'd want to rent from Anthony above the break anyway to save carrying boards back.

straight at the beach. big room (the private one). friendly staff and host. nice relaxing atmosphere. kitchen with a big fridge to store your things. there is pizza night with great pizza 3x per week. The other days there is no food or drinks available but there are other restaurants or you can cook for your self. the beginnersbay to surf is a good 20-30 min. walk from Escondite but therefor the market is kind of close.

Awesome vibe, perfect dorm room set up - all girls, mosquito nets, good bathroom and loads of space. Pizza nights are incredible, right on the beach, loads of comfy places to hang and perfect view of the sunset. Couldn't ask for more!
