Skindles is stunning. It oozes charm and history, words dont really do it justice. Chantelle is a very good host and we will be back.

Lovely town, lovely guest house, easy access, convenient and ample free parking. Large top-floor apartment in historic period building. Great friendly welcome with excellent communication and responses when our plans changed slightly. Easy walking distance for cafes, restaurants and bars, but not so easy walking back after some of those Belgium beers. We only stayed one night and did not book a breakfast but complementary tea and coffee was available. The apartment slept 4 with a double bedroom and two bunk beds off the lounge and would be great base for more extended stays.

“Review of Skindles Guesthouse”

Skindles Guesthouse is perfectly situated and a couple of minutes walk away from Talbot House museum and the town square and the bars/restaurants. There is off street parking which was good and the sat nav took me straight to Skindles. Skindles has a quirky feel too it with a fair bit of history to it which gave it more charm. The room itself was spacious, clean and comfortable.. I did manage to peek into another room when we arrive again it was spacious and clean.

Location was excellent being close to the central square and many of the restaurants and attractions. Liked the fact that it was an historic building with many original features. Breakfast was self prepared in apartment (self catering). The free coffee in one of the communal areas was good and appreciated.

The location seemed fine, and it had parking. It is a nice property, with original architecture, so quite lovely.

Had previously been a gentleman’s club reflected in the decor. Plenty of room to socialise with other guest should you want to and a large kitchen available to guests . Good central location

The most pleasant stay and an all round wonderful experience. The property and room had so much character, was very homely and so spacious! The facilities were brilliant, Chantel and Peter the most welcoming and attentive hosts and very responsive. Couldn’t have asked for a better stay!
