“A fantastic hotel where everything is as it should be.”
One phrase sums this hotel up. “Everything is as it should be.” An absolutely perfect place to stay. One tip - if you’re arriving by train from Tirano get off at Surovas, if the train stops there before Pontresina, it’s then a very short walk (less than 10 minutes) to the hotel.

Our stay at Sunstar Hotel Pontresina was genuinely lovely. After long days of skiing, it felt amazing to come back to such a warm, cozy place and relax in the spa. The hotel is perfectly located in Pontresina for easy access to the ski areas, and the mountain views never got old. The rooms were comfortable, the breakfast was great, and everything felt calm and welcoming. It had that peaceful alpine charm that made us slow down and really enjoy our time there. We’d happily stay here again—especially for a ski trip mixed with some well-earned relaxation.

“Overall, not bad, but there is still potential for improvement.”
Let’s start with the positives: the hotel is new, features an interesting design, has convenient parking, and is perfectly located in the center of the city. Check-in was quick and smooth. Our room was on the lower ground floor, which wasn’t ideal, but since we didn’t plan to spend much time there, we didn’t mind too much. The bar staff was also very friendly and welcoming.
