“Worth Every Swiss Franc!”

A typical Swiss hotel — very well maintained, with a delicious breakfast and excellent coffee. The spa area, pool, jacuzzi and saunas brought us a lot of joy after a day spent in the mountains. The staff were extremely friendly, just like everywhere in Switzerland. The hotel also provided us with free public transport and unlimited access to all mountain lifts, gondolas and cable cars in the Engadin region, which made our stay even more enjoyable and helped reduce the overall cost. We liked it so much that we decided to change our plans and stay one more night instead of moving on to the next place. The stay wasn’t cheap, but it was worth every Swiss franc — it was truly wonderful.

This is my favorite hotel in the area. It’s a family business and they personally take care of their guests. I love the building. I love the exceptional spa. The food at the restaurant is good. The building is fresh renewed with beautiful rooms.

We loved every moment at hotel Steinbock. The staff was incredibly attentive and kind. The food was great, we ate both nights in the hotel restaurant and the room was clean and welcoming. The spa is a clear highlight of our stay, where we were able to relax fully. The breakfast buffet was abundant and all the ingredients felt fresh. The lobby has an adjacent room to get coffee or tea which is very welcoming, ideal to unwind. I celebrated my 30th birthday and could not have wished for a better place.

It’s a historic building run for generations by the same family. Renovated with great taste and a special flair. The service is outstanding, staff very helpful, friendly and professional, paying attention to all the small extras. Food is delicious, from breakfast to dinner, with high quality local products. Free access to the spa. Beautiful lobby for teatime with cakes or for drinks at neighboring Hotel Walther .

“Scenery, comfort, excellent restaurant and an extensive spa”

This was my second stay, the first time six years ago and I had long wanted to return. Overall, the hotel is a high standard. I had an “economy single room”, and, although it was small, it was well designed and made good use of the limited space, so was (surprisingly) comfortable and well equipped for its size. I had evening meal both evenings in the restaurant, which were a high standard and enjoyable, likewise breakfasts; the restaurant was refurbished a few years ago and is a significant improvement. I especially like the spa and pool area, which are extensive, easy to use, and can spend an enjoyable few hours there. Plus the location in a pleasant small town, surrounded by dramatic scenery, and plenty of walking, of all grades, from the hotel. As is normal in Switzerland, easy to get to by train. All the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient.

We had a very lovely stay, loved the garden views (thank you so much for the warm welcome!), we thorughly enjoyed the spa, delicious breakfast, dinner at Stübli including the thoughful birthday surprise decoration. Only one night but we enjoyed it!

Breakfast was very good, facilities are pleasing, staff made the stay a joy.

One of the highlights was the welcome drink we were invited to at the main property where we met the owners. Knowing this was a family run operation made it just that much more enjoyable. The decor in this hotel was incredible. Everything was so chic but also warm and welcoming and warm. Very romantic. A lovely place.

Sweet and homely!

We visited with our Bernina train weekend. Great quality, new spa, and very friendly staff. Everything feels very well maintained and taken care of. Good breakfast! There's an easy 1hr hike to Sankt Moritz too.
