Booked Campismo Ninho 23 through GoBundu, in Nov 2021 for a holiday in April 2022. The following day I noticed on my account that the full amount was taken from my credit card and an extra R3000.00. When we phoned to ask why, they said that they took the deposit, even though the website clearly states two weeks prior. On arrival, we started to pack the fridge, the shelf collapsed into two, the cleaner was there and we showed her, it was not a normal fridge shelf, with plastic side, just a piece of frosted glass. On the welcome message to you when you have paid, they write there that you should TIP the cleaner 80mets for the day. (Tip is the key word here, it is not a given, it is out of gratitude.) They also do not remind you of this at all until you leave 6 months later after the holiday, there is nothing in there house to "remind" you of the rules or what was discussed 6 month prior when booking. We arrived on a Wednesday, We told the cleaner that there was no need to work Thursday because we wont dirty the house, she said she would get into trouble, we said fine wash the dishes only and leave - which she did. On the Saturday, we told the cleaner not to come in on Sunday, as we were leaving Monday at the crack of dawn and then she could clean once. We paid the cleaner R100 per day out of our gratitude towards her because she was actually very kind and sweet and we paid her; R100.00 Wednesday (We did not have to give a cent.) R100.00 Thursday (Just to wash dishes) R100.00 Friday M100.00 Saturday We did not see her Sunday as she did not work, Monday we left her all our food, coldrink and crisps, non perishables etc. Calculate the above yourselves. I received a whatsapp message from GoBundu upon return to Jhb, to say we broke the shelf and did not pay the cleaner 80mets per day so the owner will keep our full R3000.00 deposit. Instead of asking us whether or not we tipped the cleaner. and did you break a glass shelf, they just assume.
