“I would only stay here on a weekend night if you plan to stay up partying all night.”
The location would be great, were it not surrounded by night clubs. The beach view is beautiful. It's a very sweet little town with a lot of nice craft shops, cafes and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

“Absolutely AMAZING.”
I spent the Easter weekend at the Underwater Explorer with my Mom and my Girlfriend. It is a communal resort with serviced kitchen and serviced ablutions. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet with mosquito nets on all the beds. You will fall asleep to the sound of waves and wake up to birds chirping. If you are looking for a Hilton Hotel or Sheraton Hotel experience , this place is not for you. If you want to meet and mingle, and to REALLY experience Mozambican culture and the "VIBE" on a very intimate level , then this resort and its wonderful staff will really show you a good time. From the moment we arrived , Martin welcomed us as if we were old friends. This place is a diver's paradise, with very experienced Dive Masters and crew. The dive boats were out like clockwork all day, every day, even finding time to rescue a non-diving swimmer who found himself in a bit of trouble. Many thanks to Dian , one of the Dive Instructors and managers , for inviting us to enjoy the party scene. Many thanks to owners Herb and Elaine for enjoying a drink and a dance with us in the evening . Herb and Dian were up early again the next day , driving the next boat load of divers out to the reefs. We were very sad to leave and will be back as soon as possible.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. They were even able to accommodate me on a dive on quite short notice. The location is also great... right on the beach.

“Place is very good , even for None Under water enthusiasts!”
All facilities where within 15 m of the Room, Beach just 30 m away!! Kitchen fully equipped ( 9 fridges!) and very clean!!

“Best view in Ponta”
My dad and I stayed in the family room and we couldn't have picked a better unit in a better location in all of Ponta do Ouro, right on the beach with a great sea view and in walking distance of many amenities, bars, shops and restaurants. My first time in Mozambique and Elaine, Martin and Tayrana were amazing and so helpful in helping out and answering my many queries. The unit was comfortable and spacious and exactly as advertised per the online pictures.
