Overview
Set in Pont-Saint-Martin in the Aosta Valley Albergo Carla is 4 km from the Bard Fort and Museum. It features ski storage, a bar and free car park. The hotel is 300 metres from Pont-Saint-Martin Train Station and has excellent bus links with a bus stop right outside. It is located opposite the starting point for the pilgrimage route to Rome on the ancient road, Francigena. All rooms feature a work area, tiled floors and bathroom amenities. Some have a balcony and bathrooms are either shared or private. Carla Albergo serves an Italian breakfast each morning. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas. The Monterosa ski slopes are around 16 km away, while it is a 20-minute drive to Saint-Vincent Casino.

Location, about 20 minutes walk from the centre of Pont Saint Martin and right on the border of Valle d'Aosta and Piemonte. Owner was very friendly and helpful, showed me a short-cut back on to the trail and recommended a good local restaurant for a late lunch. Bathroom was shared but other guests were on different floors. Breakfast was fine and served as early as I wanted, as there were workers staying over who also needed an early start. Overall, good value.

The room was very clean and perfectly met my need for a one night stay while travelling. The bathroom is shared but very close the room, very clean and good shower. Overall good value basic accommodation.

Simple little hotel, staff was very friendly and provided a lovely breakfast. Small but comfy rooms with shared bathrooms. Good cheap spot to stay if you want to do some hikes in the area

Quite pleasant stay. Keeping in mind that this is a hostel. In the evening it was quite hot in the room (south-east side, end of august), but it was fairly ok during the night with open window. Bathroom is clean and quite big. Some minor obstacles can be observed (like the shower head), but not really important.

Provided a breakfast tray the evening before which I took to my room. I wanted to leave at 0600. Very close to re joining the Via Francigena.
