Seasons lodge has a super chill and beautiful vibe. And the ocean view is fantastic from both the pool/restaurant area and the private "bungalow", even from the bed. The staff is very friendly and the manager is a super chill and nice guy. Great breakfast.

“So horrible it broke my heart”

We liked absolutely nothing.

“We were robbed”

On September 26th, we left our room and went exploring the island for the day. We asked for the room to be cleaned. When we returned in the evening, the door to the apartment was open. We noticed a searched backpack left in the unlocked part of the apartment and missing money. We immediately reported the matter to the manager, who was not at the hotel. The next day, we spent several hours at the police station. The manager blamed us and refused to take responsibility. When the police arrived to question him, he high-fived the officers in front of the guests and then became rude and arrogant. I have never seen such a duplicitous hotel manager. When we reported the matter to our consul, he became aggressive. We were not provided with surveillance footage, and due to the manager's behavior, we also did not obtain a loss report from the police (who were required to conduct an "investigation," the results of which we never learned). The hotel clearly has a problem with thieves among its staff. The day before ours, another couple also had their belongings stolen from their room, which we learned about after arriving (check the comments earlier). Manager Mwani (watch out for him) gave us some "golden advice" at the end, which we'll share here too: "do not trust anyone, do not trust yourself, do not trust me." If you want a peaceful vacation, steer clear of this hotel.

The breakfasts were very poor apart from a plate of fruit. Generally the food was very poor and I believe expensive.

The most amazing place I’ve been in my life. The bungalows are beautiful, with lots of privacy. And the view and the tiny private beach are just fantastic! The staff is very friendly and the food is really good too. Recommended!

Beautiful location! Opening your doors onto that most beautiful view of the Indian Ocean is the most incredible things about this! The pool area and Temple bar is also wonderful. Breakfast is adequate. We ate at the hotel 3 times. Twice we had lovely food, once was not so good. We had burritos and they were deep fried and incredibly greasy. We loved Mwini and Perdo, they made our stay really happy. We also loved the hotel dogs, although did feel sorry for them as there never seemed to be food/water for them.

The houses with the private outdoor area in front and the private beach are just magical!! You can't get such a space anywhere in the price range! We absolutely loved the personal feel of the villa - perfect for a couple to relax and enjoy some private time. The breakfast and the food were good.

“Beautifully unique hotel which was relaxing and peaceful.”

Location is beautiful, near Pongwe beach which is quiet and not many people. The private beach view is so lovely! Not much around the hotel but we wanted a few days of relaxation which was perfect for this. The lodge itself was charming and a unique accommodation, we loved the privacy and romance of it. Good value for money and drinks/food was reasonably priced.

After a busy two weeks of traveling across Tanzania, this hotel was a haven of peace and tranquility, to relax and recupérate. Whilst the rooms aren't brand new, they are super comfortable and waking up to a view straight to the sea from the bed and your own private beach area, was amazing. There is no Aircon, but a fan over the bed and to be honest, this was fine for me as there is a nice breeze on the East coast...tbey also ordered a turndown service each night, putting down the mosquito net and spraying the room, so I had no issues with any insects etc in the room Food was good, and the evening meal was a different menu everyday. Staff were kind and helpful, they evenet me have a late checkout as I was not flying out until late in the evening. Bonus points for the two adorable dogs.

I spent only two nights here but greatly enjoyed the stay. The place is fantastic, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. All the meals, like breakfast, lunch and dinner, I tried were excellent.

Great position with access to the beach. The pool was an added bonus. Although not a new hotel the room was very spacious and clean The staff were excellent. The meals were of a high standard with a good variety including a vegetarian option

Great location right by the beach. The room was huge and add a great view. The place was quiet and peaceful. The staff was very friendly, the dogs were amazing.

Nice little lodge in a beautiful garden and on the beach. My room was large, with a balcony overlooking the beach. The central area/restaurant area has great beds for relaxing, the pool was small but clean. Easy access to the beach and the sea (great swimming around low tide, otherwise you have to walk a little). Good breakfast. Restaurant changes the menu choices everyday. Food and drinks are reasonably priced.

“Pure bliss”

We loved everything. It was bliss! The staff are super sweet and helped with everything. The villas are exceptional - could stay here forever.

Gorgeous location, and very quiet hotel perfect for relaxing. The room was beautiful and to have a private "mini beach" was a real treat. Staff were friendly and attentive but not intrusive.

Everything - welcoming staff, beautiful property, access to the beach, comfortable and quiet.
