“Perfect if you are looking for total Peace and Quiet”

If you are looking for peace, spectacular nature, rest, fresh food and comfort, this place is for you. The tides are extreme so for several hours during the day you cant swim in the sea but you can walk on the sea bed and enjoy an extraordinary experience. The pool is amazing to cool off and move your body. You cannot really lay on the beach which was unfamiliar and a little strange for us at the beginning, but the super comfy deckchairs and hammocks are overlooking the sea, just a little raised above the beach level. (This is a typical setup for the east coast of Zanzibar). When the tide comes in (twice in 24 hours), you can enjoy the warmest sea we have even swam in. There are hardly any "beach boys" or Maasai on the beach which is an advantage to other beaches where you are sold to and stopped all the time which we find very annoying. The food is good and if you dont like any of the starter, main or dessert options of the day, just ask. If at all possible, they will cook it for you. We did some amazing excursions too, all recommended and organised by the owner, Petra, at very fair prices. Petra is super helpful in anything you need. We spent four fabulous weeks here, and would definitely recommend Queen of Sheba Lodge. I am not adding any of the hundreds of photos we took, the pictures on booking are true. You can trust them.

Probably the best place and beach for relaxing and enjoying the beautiful Indian Ocean. Not so many beach boys like in Nungwi or Paje. Great staff, delicious food and nice rooms with seaview. I can recommend this place very much and I will come back definitly soon!

The hotel has a beautiful tropical garden, and a very nice and quiet beach near to it. The room was basic but comfortable, with nice view to the garden. The staff is really nice. I appreciate that I could stay longer in the room on my last day, as my flight was late in the evening, that helped a lot. It’s not a luxury hotel, but still a beautiful place to stay and relax. The area is quiet, so only come here, if you want to relax only.
