Set in the heart of Ponferrada's historic centre, Albergue Guiana is just 2 minutes' walk from the Templars Castle, Encina Basilica and the Museum of Bierzo y de la Radio. “Great option for anyone looking for a budget accommodation”
I liked the comfortable beds and how sleeping rooms were organised with each room having a bathroom and a toilet. The shared kitchen was spacious and well equipped (no hob though).

Rude manager, making snarky comments when I wanted a bowl for my cereal at 9:10 (dining area closes at 9:00 which is not so helpful if you are visiting the castle which only opens at 10:00).

This albergue was absolutely spotless and the shower and bathroom facilities were fantastic, and nice and private too! It's in a great location, one of the first hostels you pass after a long day, and near by the castle. The bunk beds were comfortable and had a plug and light by the bed.
