Sophie, who was a great hostess. We arrived late and although they were closing the restaurant she offered a glass of wine and something small to eat before we went to bed.

Great breakfast in attractive vaulted cellar with hot food on request. I love the location in the small town of Poncin. Excellent local restaurant. Easy parking. Excellent wine and cheese outlet on edge of town Great for overnight or short stay

Perfect value for money. The restaurant is also wonderful! The host refunded the breakfast that we booked but changed our mind later.

A fantastic stay with truly exceptional hospitality. We made a last-minute booking on the day of arrival, and within minutes the host had contacted us to confirm our arrival time and even offered to reserve a table at a local restaurant - an impressive level of proactive service. After a long day travelling in our classic Land Rover, we arrived in the early evening and were warmly welcomed. The host again went above and beyond, arranging secure parking for the vehicle, which gave us real peace of mind. What really stood out was the personal touch. The host asked my son’s name on arrival and the following morning greeted him by name - such a small detail, but it made a big impression. Breakfast was freshly prepared and of outstanding quality. The homemade brioche in particular was exceptional. The attention to detail throughout our stay was remarkable, especially given the price point.

Very friendly, patient and helpful (when I thought I had lost the key) staff. Beautiful place, slightly spread out, comfy bed, nice breakfast. Parking in the village square. Lovely local restaurant, which they booked for us.

“Perfect for a short stop”

Beautiful quaint French village dripped in old buildings. The property is adorable with comfy rooms and extremely helpful staff. Sophie welcomed us and spoke perfect English. She was super helpful with us trying to locate a car charger. There is a charger on site but it was being used so she managed to get us a on a standard plug. Slow but something. There is a restaurant linked to the hotel and a 2min walk. They served nice pizza which was all we needed. Continental breakfast at the hotel was fine.

This boutique hotel is an absolute gem of a hotel! If every time we stayed in a hotel it could be to this standard we'd be very happy. The staff/owners are super friendly and helpful. They went out of their way to make our stay a very pleasant one. Lots of communication prior to arriving and all throughout the stay too. Our room was incredible. Lots of character, our bed was lovely and firm and massive! Plenty of room everywhere too. The bathroom was lovely with twin sinks and a massive rain shower which I just didn't want to get out of The hotel kindly reserved a table at the local restaurant for us (in my photo) and this was a wonderful place. Very reasonably priced and the food was fantastic, again with very friendly owners. We can recommend the pizzas! We also had breakfast in the hotel the next morning which again was outstanding. The lady made me fresh scrambled egg which was delicious and we had a lovely croissant each from the local award winning bakery (next to the restaurant from last night). All the other usual delicious breakfast items, yoghurts, French bread (to die for) and cheeses and ham. We always rate a hotel on how good their croissants are (it's a running joke our family have), and this just cemented the fact that we thought this hotel was fantastic! For parking, the hotel is about 50-100 metres from the village square where there's plenty of free parking. We left our car here overnight. We were a little concerned as our car was ram packed with all our skii gear and equipment but the hotel staff said it's totally safe, and of course it was (I wouldn't have parked there had we been in the UK). The village itself is very quaint and well worth a little tour around to take in the sights and views. For us this was an overnight stop before heading into the Alps for skiing and we'd 100% recommend this hotel to anyone who likes the sound of this review. We will be back for sure!

This ia a real gem of a boutique hotel. Everything has been finished to a very high standard. It is worth making a detour from the main nearby motorways if you are looking for a high quality stopover. Equally, the hotel would make a very good base for exploring the local region.

Beautiful location. Room was clean and tidy and as described. Owner was very welcoming. Breakfast was great well worth the money. Make sure to dine at their restaurant, food was fantastic and the deserts even more so!
