The house , the landscape and vineyards are amazing. Trish and Phil are very kind, hospitable and extremely helpful with their suggestions about rstaurants. The place is silent and relaxing.

The place is very good and beautiful, and the hosts are simply wonderful. They are helpful and friendly, always willing to support you with whatever you need.

Perfect location for all the lovely local villages and vineyards. Phil and Trish were absolutely perfect hosts, you couldn't ask for a more kind and friendly couple. The room was beautifully clean, air con was so quiet we didn't even know it was on! Also had a lovely ensuite bathroom with lots of lovely little extra touches. They took note of everything we said to make us as comfy as possible and it was the best night's sleep on our trip. We had a beautiful breakfast in the morning and we're very sad to leave! Hopefully we will be back in the future ❤️

“Perfect holiday destination”

The location was stunning with views from the terrace stretching far over the vineyards and rolling hills. Our room was lovely, the bed very comfortable and great attention to detail. The hostess was so welcoming and couldn’t have been more helpful or friendly. Fantastic breakfast. We stayed the night before our flight but I think this would be a great base from wish to explore the area and its many vineyards.

“A Room With (more than) A View”

Following a bereavement, and a long long journey, we were welcomed by our English hosts to their beautiful modern though traditionally styled house. Inside much thought has gone into providing a modern comfortable home for owners and visitors alike. Fixtures and fittings are all top quality. The house sits on top of a gentle rise with far reaching views across open undulating countryside, vineyards etc. A terrace where you can partake of the view, and breakfast, is a welcome relaxing feature with sun-loungers, chairs and a large parasol. We could easily have spent our free chill out day, out there reading or simply soaking up the experience, but it rained that day. Such a shame. Hosts were superb and couldn't do enough for us. We'll be back.

“Stunning views, cosy room and fabulous hosts”

What a stunning spot! Overlooking vineyards and woods with a beautiful view, peaceful but near to all the nearest towns, between Eymet and Bergerac. Trish and Phil are fabulous hosts and a hive of local information. The room was chic, stylish and comfortable with its own separate entrance. Breakfast was delicious: a fabulous selection of pastries, cheeses, homemade jam, breads and so much more. I wish we could have stayed longer to sample the area but I think we will definitely be back.

“Fantastic stay”

Our stay at Les Grands Bois was like no other! Our flights got cancelled so we had to make a late check-in. Phill and Trish waited up for us, even if it was around 11 PM at night. We got to meet this amazing family which managed to turn our vacation into an experience to remember: we actually lived like they live and even got invited to a local outdoor party with the English community. We definitely felt like home! The house is extremely cosy, located in a quiet area. The perfect breakfast is also worth mentioning. These hosts, whom we can now call friends, provided us with all the conditions and all the comfort we could imagine. We warmly recommend this wonderful place!

“A gem of a place surrounded by vineyards”

English couple Trish and Phil gave us a warm welcome and went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. I have mobility problems and use walking sticks or a wheelchair. The room we had wasn’t specifically a disabled room but I could get around it easily and the shower had a grab handle. Phil provided a suitable chair as well. The decor and pictures were all very attractive. We had breakfast on their patio overlooking the vineyards. They provided an excellent continental breakfast with the best fruit salad I’ve ever had, and freshly squeezed orange juice. Trish is a fountain of knowledge about this rethe local area and recommended an excellent nearby family run restaurant for our dinner. If you plan to stay here, try tapping into Trish’s local knowledge to plan your stay. Highly recommended!

Breakfast- Fantastic fruit salad and selection of pastries particularly. Room- Furnished to a high standard with extras, such as charging leads for all mobiles. Location- Wonderful views of vineyards and spectacular countryside. Hosts- Absolutely delightful and went the extra mile ( ensuring they looked out for us walking back from the village in the dark ; offering a glass of wine on our return- some examples of their kindness!)
