“Wonderful host and a gorgeous apartment”

The apartment is absolutely stunning. I could have lived there. A gorgeous living area and kitchen, a double bedroom for us and a separate bedroom for our 9 year old. Air conditioning in both rooms and the living area was welcome surprise. You have a wonderful view of Vesuvius from both the front balcony and the back. The bathroom is also beautiful and the choice of a bath or a shower (a nice big shower) was very welcome indeed. The whole place is charming and very pretty inside. There were plenty of clean towels, extra blankets, an iron, a fridge and all the things you need in a kitchen if you were to cook for yourself (we didn't but it was lovely to store some cold drinks in the fridge). Parking our hire car was no problem and the car was very safe inside the apartment complex. Our host Elena was just wonderful and helpful and welcoming - I'd give her more than 10 stars if I could. There is a nice little coffee shop at the end of the road which is great for a coffee and cake breakfast. The ruins and the main strip is just a short walk down the street.

Beautiful clean and comfortable apartment, a great location close to all the shops and bars of pompei, Elena was an extremely responsive and helpful host, we loved the balconies to sit out in the morning and evening, with a view of vesuvius and the comings and goings of the trains. The location is close to everything yet tucked away and not too noisy, the trains make noise but do not start too early or finish too late.

“Near to the train and Pompeii site.”

The apartment was spotlessly clean and very convenient for the station. We had booked a guided tour to Pompeii from the Porta Marina which was about 25 min walk. The amphitheatre entrance to Pompeii is much nearer to the apartment and so we were able to explore more of Pompeii and exit through these gates rather than walk the long way home. Elena was very quick to reply to any of our queries and met us at the gate to show us around. We love wine and had an excellent meal at Giulias Wine Restaurant on Via Sacra. The food was top notch, the wine list was well priced and interesting and the service was friendly and efficient.

Beautiful spacious, well maintained, immaculate cleanliness. Air conditioning worked wonders and beautiful views. Very lucky to have found this gem in a the gorgeous location of Pompeii.

“Perfectly located with a fantastic host”

We had a lovely stay at Cenere e Lapilli House. Elena our host was fantastic, even though she was on holiday herself she was attentive and helpful. Its conveniently located for shops, bars and restaurants. It's close to the Pompeii ruins (although the entrance we needed was a 30 minute walk away, hence the taxi mentioned below). Elena arranged for her mother in law to let us in (a delightful lady who also did some washing for us). When we needed a taxi, it was her father that came to our rescue and she recommended a great restaurant (Alleria) that was Coeliac friendly which was perfect for my son. Nothing was too much trouble. The apartment itself is clean and well equipped with the basics and some complimentary snacks were left out for us. Parking is free (although we did have a little trouble finding the right entrance and ended up having to do a long circuit to get back to the apartment). You can't have the aircon on in all 3 rooms (bedrooms and kitchen) at the same time as it causes issues with the electrics, but we didn't find that an issue. Would definitely recommend.

The biggest advantage of this accommodation is definitely the location — just a 2-minute walk from the city center, with free parking included, which is a huge plus. The apartment is very spacious and full of natural light. It’s newly furnished, extremely clean, and well maintained. The WiFi works perfectly, and each room has its own air conditioning, which made our stay very comfortable. Would definitely recommend! Elena is an extremely kind and welcoming host.

Lots of space, can and well maintained in a good central location

We love the place 🌟🌟❤️🌟🌟 it exceeded our expectations. High cieling, big rooms, and super clean. This place is amazing. Highly recommended. And for Elena, she's an amazing hostess, very pretty 😊 inside out. We have no idea about the area, and she helped us how to navigate the area, which, as a tourist, that's what you need. We definitely going to use this accommodation again for our next visit with our kids 🌷🌸🌷

Elena was very attentive and helpful with everything and made our stay very easy and comfortable. She got us some extra things we needed (like an extra blanket for the baby) straight away.The apartment is spacious and very clean. The kids were delighted by the juice and biscuits on arrival and the wine was a nice touch. Location perfect for the ancient site.

Very spacious and comfortable flat… modern and well equipped. The location is perfect. Close to everywhere you’d want to visit, including walking distance to the Pompeii ruins. The host is also a lovely lady, she was really helpful and kind. Highly recommend!

Apartment was very good, located in Pompei centre, next to the pedestrian street. It has heating and air conditioning, kitchen and also wine from the the owner. Three TV, but we used only one. Beds were also very good. And also the free parking for car in locked parking next to the house, not on the street. You can even buy a souveniers from owner or get a discount in restaurant.

Excellent location, close to shops, bars, restaurants, cafes, and tourist attractions but without feeling as if it's commercialised and you're surrounded by tourists. You'll experience an authentic side of Italy in this wonderful apartment in this excellent location. The apartment is huge, incredibly clean, and with air con and central heating for the colder months. The kitchen is fully equipped and spacious with some lovely little personal touches supplied by the hostess. A selection of breakfast items, wine, pasta, pasta sauce, coffee for the coffee machine, a selection of tea, and Italian cakes/biscuits. The super king bed is incredibly comfortable with lovely bedding. The bathroom is luxurious and boasts a spacious walk-in rainfall shower, bath, and bidet (if that's your thing). A hairdryer, towels, shampoo, and bodywash are provided, too. Window shutters provide extra security (not that you need it) and darkness for anyone looking for a lay in! Off street, electric gated parking is also available. We didn't arrive at the apartment until late evening, but Elena was there to provide the warmest of welcomes and show us around. She even offered to wave us off when we left at 06:45! Elena has been the most wonderful hostess. In the weeks before we arrived, as well as when we were there, she offered her help with local tours, airport transfers, and recommendations of where to eat and drink. She checked in with us to make sure everything was OK and was on hand if we needed anything; she lives in the same apartment block too, which is helpful should you need her.

The apartment is very modern and fitted out well. Everything was clean and in good order, comfortable sofas and beds. The heating system is very efficient and easy to use. Lovely bathroom with both a bath and large shower enclosure. The location is excellent, very close to shops, bars and literally a ten minute stroll to Pompeii ruins. The train station is just a couple of minutes away. Elana was a fantastic host and arranged transfers for us to and from the airport which was a good move as I would never have managed to navigate myself! She was on hand to help if required, I personally wasn’t confident to get the train to see Herculanum, sent a quick message to Elana and she sorted a private transfer direct to the gates and back. (FYI those bolder than me could travel there by train) Loved the balcony in the morning watching the snowy top of Vesuvius.

What a fantastic place to stay. Our hosts were absolutely amazing. Location was walking distance to most places. Great restaurants and café close. Our hostess offered so much advice on where to go and things to do. So much help. The apartment was wonderful. Please note. There are 56 stairs to the apartment. However, our hosts help with our luggage. It really is a lovely place to stay.
