“Very homely homestay”

Nisha the host is lovely, caring, talkative and a good cook. We loved the string hoppers that we made from scratch (interactive cooking session is free but you pay for your meal). We were made to feel very at home and the large outdoor lounge area is very comfortable. Nisha came with us to flag down the correct bus to Kandy. Snowy the dog is lovely and fluffy.

“Cosy stay”

This lovely lady would have her own menu and cook for you! She definitely knows what she is doing because everything tastes amazing and she makes most of the ingredients herself! The room I got was very comfortable with good air conditioning. I loved hanging out with her and learning from her experiences. Furthermore the location is close to everything Polonnawura has to offer. I rent a bike from her neighbour and biked around town. Lovely lady and a lovely stay, I would highly recommend!

“Welcoming homestay.”

We were welcomed by the friendly owner. A nice simple homestay, with relaxing garden.The two breakfasts we had were great, good quality and plenty of quantity but the price was high - much more than we had expected. Maybe the best solution is to ask before ordering so you are clear of costs.

The banana-Waffle breakfast cooked by landlady was remarkably delicious, it was convenient to rent bicycles here also

“Nice location, warm welcome but some things need improvement”

The location, near to the city. The warm welcome by Michelle. It's easy to rent bicycles to go to the main site, her neighbor has some ! It's a great place to feel at home. 🌸

“Rock Cascade - Pull up your socks!”

Rock Cascade in Polonnaruwa is a home stay, regardless of any other descriptions given on the booking.com website. It is run by the owner, Ms. Nisha. This cheerful lady is a very good host who serves you great home- cooked food. A major plus point of Rock Cascade is that they serve lunch and dinner too, albeit with a limited menu.

Nishanthi is a very lovely host that really like to share with her customers and she is so careful for you. She also showed me how to cook fried rice :) And Snowy her little dog is a lovely and funny dog, she adopted me in only one night 😂🥹

Nishanti is an incredible host. Very friendly, informative and kind. We took the cookery class with her and learned lots from her! Her food is truly amazing so I would recommend eating in if you are staying. She can help you organise bikes to visit the 5 minute nearby Polonnaruwa complex which is stunning.

The lady who runs the place is AMAZING, very helpful (she helped us taking the bus to Pollonnaruwa) and an amazing cook. Breakfast was delicious. Feels like home.

The host, Nishanthi, was absolutely amazing. From the moment we stepped into the homestay we felt welcome. She prepared us an amazing breakfast every morning and an incredible dinner, showing us how it was made from her kitchen.
