Very friendly host and a very filling breakfast every morning. The safari trip was good too, lots of elephants.

The host was very helpful and organised us everything we needed. He ordered bikes for us and organised the transport to Ella. He was friendly and shared lots of information about the region and Sri Lanka. The rooms were big and spacious and each room has a small terrace. We could watch the monkeys pass by. The bed was comfortable.

Upon arrival we encountered ants but the owner quickly dealt with them. The owner was very helpful, he was very helpful in booking taxis and renting bicycles. The room is new. It’s safe for women and solo travel woman.

Very homely feeling and stay. Nice residential area. Great local breakfast included. Prompt response to requests. Bikes at disposal (I didn't use them but it seemed like a great way to move around within and outside the ancient city). The rooms are purpose-built as cottages with veranda.

The hosts are very kind, and the food is delicious. I only stayed for one night, but we had a great conversation with the owner, who speaks many languages. It was truly enjoyable to chat… The location is very close to an exit from the temple tourist area. However, the entrance is a bit farther, near the archaeology museum. Easily accessible by bike or tuk-tuk.

Very warm and welcoming hosts who did everything to make our stay enjoyable. Situated close to ancient city ruins. Bicycles available to hire, and safari trips too. Lovely Sri Lankan meal, and good breakfast. Lovely family run resort.

“Super close to the ancient city”

We stayed for just one night to explore the ancient city. The accommodation is super close, but you need to go all the way around to the other side of the park to enter the city. Exiting is a mere 50m or so to the accommodation, which was excellent after a hot day in the sun. Owners' communication was great, and they arranged bicycles for us to use (800 per bike) for the day. Breakfast was awesome, and the owner was very friendly and helpful.

Loved the location of the hotel which was at one of the entrances to the ancient city. The owner, along with his family made our stay truly comfortable and safe, taking care of all our needs, giving helpful tips about the area, and sometimes even arranging transport. Can 100% recommend this place!

The owners were incredible - so lovely, helpful, generous and knowledgeable about the area. They gave us great advice and attended to our every need at the drop of a hat. The food was amazing - we had two breakfasts and two dinners and everything was delicious. He organised a train pick up, tuk tuk a and bikes for us. We would definitely come back and will be recommending to all our friends. We wish we stayed longer!!
