I stayed here before and this will always be the one and only place I will return to whilst in Pokhara. Owner knows how to make you feel at home and will always offer his help when needed. Highly recommended!

“Everything a traveller needs”

I stayed here for the first time 2 years ago and this is my place when I come to Pokhara as it feels like home. Breakfast in an enjoyable garden, clean room with ensuite bathroom and s hot shower. When I felt ill and told the owner I needed to go to the hospital for a check-up he kindly offered me a ride on his bike. He is going above and beyond everything to help his customers - a heartfelt thank you for your kindness and help offered.

We only have good things to say about this guesthouse! The owner, Raj, has to be one of the most experienced hosts in Pokhara. Not only is he kind but also a font of knowledge for the area. The room we had was so clean and comfortable - we only stayed here for 3 nights but would have happily stayed longer if time permitted!

“Beautiful stay with helpful hosts”

The perfect place to unwind after a long trek. In a quiet location whilst still being close to the lakeside and plenty of restaurants and other facilities. Raj was extremely kind and helpful and it was very interesting hearing about his life! The bed was comfortable, room was spacious and shower nice and hot. We were provided with drinks on arrival and offered an umbrella to shelter from the rain when we went out, which was extremely helpful. The gardens are also beautiful and well maintained by Raj. “Wonderful Stay with a Helpful Host and Great Location Near the Lake”

I had a really pleasant stay at New Summit Guest House. The overall experience was smooth and comfortable. The host was exceptionally kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed, which made the stay even more enjoyable. One of the biggest advantages of this place is its location—it’s within walking distance from the lake, making it very convenient for sightseeing and relaxing strolls. I would highly recommend this guest house to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-managed stay.

The location is strategically convenient - within walking distance of the bus station and also close to Lakeside. The owner is very pleasant, kind, and responsible. The hotel grounds are nice. The room was decent and clean, with a clean toilet and a hot shower. The photos are accurate and reflect reality.

The location and the warm welcome of the owner who goes above and beyond to make sure that you are comfortable and is always willing to help with anything you need. I also joined in on a ladies Zumba class that’s held every day at the hotel next door. I loved my stay there.

“Small families guesthouse with nice shower and big room”

The Summit Guest House has a quiet big room with a nice garden and nice rooftop to see the mountains. The Shower was strong and had nice hot water. The room and the house was clean and have good facilities. The host family was friendly, nice, helpful and offered me a welcome drink. It was good value of money.

A home away from home. That's how I'd describe Mr. Raj's hotel, where I've been returning again and again for over 10 years! Cleanliness, care, a pleasant garden, safety, and, most importantly, a friendly and caring host who's ready not only to provide a roof over your head but also to be a great companion and helper in Pokhara. You can turn to him with any questions you may have about trekking, yoga, accommodation in Pokhara, or just to chat about various topics. This guest house was a wonderful surprise. The room was spacious and comfortable with en-suite bathroom and air conditioning and views over the rooftops of Pokhara. The hosts were very charming and helpful even looking after my luggage while I was trekking. Breakfast in a beautiful well kept garden made a good start to the day. The shopping area is easily reached on foot.

By far the best guest house I had the pleasure of staying in during my trip to the Indian Golden Triangle and Nepal. I spent two nights here—one before and one after my hike in the Annapurna—and both experiences were exceptional. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and beautifully furnished, filled with natural light. On both occasions, I stayed in a triple room equipped with a sofa and coffee table. The ensuite bathroom was equally impressive: large, well-maintained, and fully functional, with 24-hour hot water. There’s also a charming garden with tables where guests can enjoy breakfast. New Summit is perfectly located—close to Lakeside, the vibrant heart of Pokhara—yet tucked away on a quiet street, ensuring a peaceful night’s sleep. Last but not least, the owners are wonderfully kind and attentive, making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. Highly recommended!

I have visited Pokhara numerous times, stayed in plenty of places. Now I have short list of just 2 preferred properties. Summit is one of those. Love breakfast in the garden, both the breakfast and the garden. As an older guy I appreciate the access to the property, with vehicle access to the front gate. Also access to the bustling main street of Lakeside, while being in a quiet secluded lane. Friendly, quiet accessible.
