“Amazing stay near Lake Annecy!”

What an amazing property. The thing that made it for us was the warm welcome, kindness and humor of Michel and Nathalie. So helpful with advice on what to do with the time we had there. Really great people who have built a wonderful home and guesthouse that oozes family history. Our room was really large and comfortable with an amazing jacuzzi. Loads of parking space and wonderful breakfast and views over the hills. Looking forward to returning!

Really nice stay at an amazing location, beautiful view and great amenities. Private parking is also really nice addition. All in all a great stay, nice breakfast, and the hosts are very nice and helpful.

“Excellent Property; Excellent Hosts.”

Simply put this is an exceptional property, owned and managed by intelligent and caring people (Thank You Michel and Nathalie for your hospitality) who have set very high standards for themselves, and are achieving / exceeding those standards. Property has been finished to a very high standard; the bed is quality as is the bedding. The coffee machine is quality and with a generous provision of sachets. We wanted to take the shower cubicle home. The communal area/bar area/hot tub are all excellent and offer very reasonably priced wines/beers/soft drinks. We prepared a meal in this space and had all the equipment we needed. I could go on but we were repeatedly impressed with the attention to detail - and we are fussy. Breakfast was superb. A generous range of products - some expertly home-made and delicious (possibly not made by Michel .....lol) - offered every day. Our hosts were present at breakfast to answer questions and offer advice on tips - this information was also helpful and accurate. The views were great, the pooches were delightful, and the Bus Service into Annecy was cheap/reliable/frequent. We don't usually take so long with reviews but we both felt we should try and reciprocate the thought and effort that our hosts demonstrated at the wonderful property. Fantastic hosts Michel and Natalie . Could not do enough for you . The property is magnificent . Too many excellent things to write on here . Go and see for yourself if you want to visit Annecy but stay in a quieter area . Bus just outside every 8 minutes .

Very friendly hosts, always ready to give tips on what to visit and which hikes to do. They even reserved a restaurant for us! When near Annecy, we will definitely come back!

“Great place, excellent hosts”

Nathalie and Michel are wonderful hosts. They will tell you everything you want to know about the area – history, things to do, restaurants. The location is great, in a quiet place not far from Annecy. The bus station is 200 meters, you can go anywhere in the area with the bus – during July and August is free of charge. The rooms are spacious and beautifully decorated with much attention to the details. For breakfast you have delicious home-made yoghurt, cakes, seasonal fruits and local meat and cheese, everything of very good quality. Parking spaces are available at the property. “An excellent place to stay on the outskirts of Annecy”

The property was immaculate. We stayed in a deluxe room on the ground floor with Mountain View and its own terrace. Comfortable bed, great shower and beautiful decor. Breakfast was homemade and delicious. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. They recommended restaurants and places to visit. There is a bus stop approximately 500 meters away. The bus goes into Annecy every 8 minutes.

We loved everything about Le Paon Bleu. The warm welcome from the owners who sat down and talked us through the local area, the things to do, the restaurants and the bus times. The lovely pets (2 dogs, 1 cat). Excellent value for money. The characterful property with it's lovely traditional breakfast room. Fantastic comfortable room. Michel's entertaining chats at breakfast! He played us some of his old Edith Piaf vinyl records one day! The lovely spa pool was very welcome after a tiring day of being a tourist. The benefit of being in a quiet village but having the option to drive into Annecy or get the bus which stops just outside the property every 20 minutes or so. The security of being on a gated property.

Everything was fantastic, Michel and Nathalie couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming, and Michel had us laughing constantly! The facilities were superb, the swim spa and Morrocan room were beautiful. The rooms were decorated beautifully, with facilities to make tea and coffee, and a fridge with water and coke. My husband is gluten-free, and Nathalie made a different gluten-free cake every day for breakfast, which were all delicious. The breakfast was fantastic with views looking out at the mountains. “Wonderful hosts in perfect setting!”

Michel & Nathalie are the perfect hosts we arrived earlier than expected but it wasn't a problem, they took time to show us around and advised us on restaurants and things to do whilst in Annecy. The room was perfect with our own patio area enjoying wonderful mountain views. The room was fabulous with a spa bath and plenty of space. By the pool is a bar/lounge/kitchen area with everything you could possibly want during your stay. We loved the breakfast with lots of local produce and Nathalie's homemade cake. We enjoyed amazing weather whilst in Annecy and it was wonderful to return to Le Paon Bleu to relax and enjoy the facilities. We stayed here as part of a 3 week road trip and without doubt this was our favourite place with the most wonderful hosts and we would not hesitate to recommend.

The quality of the property and its facilities were outstanding. The room was perfect for a short stay. The spa and the bar area were very high quality and we spent lots of time using this during a very hot period of weather. Michel the owner could not do enough for us and even checked to see we had got up for our taxi at 4am on departure..
