“Very disappointed”

We were very disappointed with our stay. Based on the many positive reviews, we even extended our booking by one night due to a change in our flights. However, we ended up leaving after just one night. The house is located on a hill, and the road up is extremely steep. Even with a car, accessing the property and parking is quite difficult and not convenient at all. Cleanliness was also an issue, and the kitchen equipment was unacceptable. Pots and pans were heavily scratched, and the non-stick coating was damaged. We accepted this and planned to go out for dinner, but unfortunately there were no good options nearby. The biggest issue, however, was the noise. The constant barking of dogs throughout the night was unbearable. Our children could hardly sleep. While the airplane noise was at least predictable and eventually stopped, the barking continued all night. Our children wanted to leave as soon as possible, and honestly, there is no real need to stay so close to the airport on this island. For our second night, we moved to Beau Vallon and had a great end to our trip. From there, it only took us about 25 minutes to reach the airport, which was clearly the better choice. When we checked out, Jill said she understood our reasons for leaving, especially with children and the noise at night, but no refund was excepted for the unused night.

“Perfect location for travelling!”

Jill was an incredible host, collected me from the airport to drive me up (steeply up) to the house. Extremely well equipped kitchen, spacious living room with satellite tv, indoor/outdoor dining areas, and multiple outside lounge areas. Bed was so very comfortable, and the view was gorgeous! Jill even offered a ride to the jetty as well.

I stayed at Touchdown Villa for one night before my ferry to La Digue, and it was a perfect beginning of my Seychelles trip. Jill is an exceptionally kind, warm and caring host. She welcomed me personally, showed me everything in the villa and made me feel safe and relaxed after a long journey. The villa is huge, clean, peaceful and has a beautiful view of the airport area, mountains and tropical garden with palm trees and rocks. The atmosphere is calm and very private, exactly what you need after a flight. Jill also helped me with transportation in the morning and made sure I arrived on time. Her kindness and personal attention truly made a difference. Highly recommended. Thank you, Jill. You are a wonderful person.

The villa itself is quite big and the bed comfortable. Also, very clean and the view to the airport is nice if you’re enthusiastic about planes. The main purpose of the villa is to spend the night before an early flight as it very close to the airport. I don’t think it is suitable for more than a night as it is quite hard to reach and you def need a car and the location itself is more for locals than tourists. The hill is very steep, I guess you can walk but it will be a very hard walk.

“Top location near the airport”

The house is very spacious and offers everything you need. And Jill the host is very friendly and was so kind to drop us off at the airport. Very recommendable!

Not a location one would pick for a longer stay, but idealy located at arrival or departure. The house itself is large, comfortable, with two big terraces, and is within a walkable distance to the airport, although on top of a step climb when going in the opposite direction.

“A good stay.”

We stayed here for one night. - As the name suggests, it's a very big villa. Very huge property. - The owner was very friendly and she will offer a taxi service from the ferry (with good rates compared to what you see online). - We came 2 hrs earlier, although we were not able to check in, we were allowed to keep our luggage inside. We paid through credit card. After check-out, we kept our luggage outside of villa as our flight was in the night 10PM. (It was safe to keep luggage outside). - The property is huge, so you have multiple spots to chill and relax. In the outside, there was balcony on ground floor and 1st floor, also seating space in the backside of the villa. - The kitchen is huge, so is the living room (Kitchen could have been more clean, but not major issue). There are 2 washrooms, 1 in ground floor and another in the 1st floor. - A big thanks to the owner as they have a continuous running water filter, so you can have lot of drinking water availability. Kitchen was very well equipped. ( Although it was tricky to use the gas stove ( we couldn't use), be sure to check with owner how to operate during check in, Thankfully, we didn't need it, as we used the electric pot rice cooker to heat some things up). - It is close by to the airport which is a major positive. Location (read carefully) : - Close to the bus stand. (We used public bus during our stay). Also, it is close to a super market. During check-out, we even walked back to the airport from the property. - The property is very, VERY steep ! I am a hiker and a fit person, I could walk from the bus stand to the property, and the walk in itself was a good hike ;) - If you are not fit, you cannot walk from bus stand to the property. Don't take this lightly. - DO NOT THINK, you can carry/push trolley to the property from the bus stand. IMPOSSIBLE. You need a car to come to property with luggage !

We really appreciated the free transfer to the airport by the host very early in the morning.

We were met on arrival at the airport on time despite our flight being delayed.

The apartment is huge and beautiful, also very clean. The owner and her daughter are very kind and helped us a lot. The house is located on a smaller hill, but it's doable on foot. The airport is close by. The neighbours are very friendly 😄
