Denis was the perfect host, nothing was too much trouble. The room was very comfortable and it was lovely sitting out on the balcony birdwatching (and eating our takeaway curry that had been delivered to our room). His airport shuttle was brilliant and we would highly recommend The Runway Lodge.

Denis was a generous, wonderful host with a warm getting on arrival & a detailed explanation of everything. He gave us a lift to the airport at 6am. The room was very comfortable with a lovely bathroom. We needed to book one night near the airport & this was a great choice. I can't understand previous negative comments.

Breakfast was good, and Denis dropped me at the airport in his air conditioned van and had organised a taxi from my arrival cruise to his place, and had my room ready even though I arrived hours before the official check in time.

Amazing place, especially if you have an early morning flight, as it is located right next to the airport. The owner was very nice and kindly helped us with a lift in the morning. The place itself is new, well maintained, and everything felt very pleasant. Highly recommended!

Our stay at Denis’s Runway Lodge in Mahé turned out to be an unexpected blessing during a very stressful situation. Because of the disruptions in the Middle East, we were stranded on the island with very little clarity about our flights. Denis welcomed us with incredible kindness and treated us more like family than guests. From the moment we arrived, he went above and beyond. He picked us up, prepared the best breakfast we had during our entire stay in Seychelles, and constantly checked in to make sure everyone in the house was comfortable. His home was full of travelers who had also been stranded, yet Denis managed everything calmly and generously, taking care of each person as if they were his own guests. What truly stood out was how much he cared. He used his personal connections to help coordinate information with the airlines and later even drove us downtown to our next accommodation when our plans changed. In a difficult situation far from home, Denis showed remarkable hospitality, warmth, and generosity. If you are staying in Mahé, especially near the airport, I cannot recommend Denis’s place enough. You won’t just find a place to stay—you’ll find someone who genuinely looks after his guests like a brother. Thank you, Denis! The world needs more people like you!

We stayed one night for an early flight from the airport. Denis was an amazing host, so friendly and kindhearted. The room was comfy and spotlessly clean with all the basic amenities you need for a short stay. Close by is a great Indian restaurant and convenience store. I would definitely recommend staying here prior to your flight.

Location close to Airport and owner kindly took us to departures on the morning of our flight. Nice small pool and jacuzzi were welcome in the humid heat.

Mr. Denis owns and manages the place and puts your needs above all else! From bringing umbrellas to the taxi to receive you in a downpour to helping you warm food in their kitchen, he's most caring, considerate and friendly! The room exceeded our expectations. Comfortable bed, good quality quilt, excellent shower pressure and modern espresso machines in each room along with universal adapters in the socket plus full length mirrors. Quiet room and a quaint and beautiful guest house setting! Free airport transfers offered - just a 5 minute drive. Very convenient! Thanks ever so much!
