“Serene spectacular place with a beaches close by”

Location was spectacular, views were amazing, it was clean, serene. Host was attentive and friendly, guided and helped extremely well on places of interest, restaurants, beaches, transport. Supermarket is just 3 to 4 mins walking and 1 min by car, big blessing as everything is available there. Matthew and the entire family are amazing hosts. The Songbird Villa is an apt place to stay at. I will come back and also recommend this place.

I highly recommend these apartments. They have everything you need for a comfortable stay: a fully equipped kitchen, a washing machine, air conditioning in the bedroom, and a fan in the kitchen. Since the villa is located on a small hill, it offers a beautiful view of the ocean. The nearest excellent beach, Anse Royale, is just one bus stop away or a 5-minute drive. Special thanks to the host, Matthew, who was always in touch, responded promptly to our questions, and even treated us to complimentary fruit and coconut water. Actually, it’s one of the best villas I have ever stayed so far.

“Great Owner, great view,”

This is a true gem and I can recommend. The appartment is huge and airy with the large folding terrace glass door letting the air in. It has two balconies, one large one and a smaller one both with a gigantic view over the island and the ocean. Appartment is fully equiped and also those necessary items such as salt, sugar and even cooking oil are provided. Matthew is a great host. He provide us with good tips, coconut water and let us stay longer as we had a flight at the evening. As the house is on a steep hill and a bit off the main road, I would recommend renting a car.

“Our dreamed house”

The facility is really spacious (with enough space to accommodate a family of 5 pax). It was very clean and being at its terrace was simply amazing. You can enjoy a great view of the sea and the sunrise. At night this space and its comfortable sits were the perfect setting for sitting relaxing, conversing, reading books, and enjoying the sound of the waves with the fresh breeze of Mahé. It was like a dream! The apartment is fully equipped, you can find all the amenities needed for cooking and even Mathew put at our disposal basic items for cooking and doing laundry. Close to the facility there is a covinient store which you can find all the basics, but if you are going to stay longer and you have car it is recommended to go the hypermarket which is not very far away and you can find more variety. Additionally, he is the perfect host, he showed us all the facility, shared with us a lot of extra information, help us with the luggage, and even gave us a delicious jar with fresh Coco water. Thank you so much!!! Finally, if you love dogs they have friendly dogs that occasionally come around but never enter the house.

Great location, great house, great owner. We're so glad we chose this villa. The views are fantastic, the house is high quality, and it's very clean. Matthew, who was very friendly, helped with some of our additional requests. We need more people like him in the world so there won't be any global conflicts. There's a good store and a bus stop nearby, making it easy to get anywhere on the island.

Very kind hosts, great and comfortable place with everything you'd need and an excellent view. It's on the steep hill and not on the beach-side exactly, but it's a quite place yet close to the road so since we rented a car from the start it was good for us. By the way, by Seychelles standards the price was quite reasonable. Overall perfect place to stay in Mahe, but you better have a car.

Very huge apartments, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, big terrace. Absolutely friendly hosts, ready to answer any questions immediately! So quite and relaxing place, so green with a lot of flowers and fruit trees. And of course, birds! They are amazing singers:)

Everything was perfect. Matthew is a very attentive and welcoming host. Great location of the villa, especially if you are by car. The villa is surrounded by jungle and garden with fruit trees. The house has two terraces that offer great views of the ocean. If you get up early you can enjoy the view of a spectacular sunrise. And in the evenings before sunset you don't want to leave your balcony. Clouds in the light of the setting sun, foxes flying, birds...and of course the ocean! Matthew, thank you so much! Hope we'll be back again )

I did not expect that I will be renting the lower portion of the villa. And we were fortunate that no one was renting the upper part so the whole villa was all to ourselves! It was huge. But still homey. The view, spectacular! There's a whole veranda outside your living room and kitchen where you can relax and just look at the ocean. Hear the birds singing outside. Super relaxing. The name songbird suits the place. They are surrounded by a lot of trees so there's fresh air around. Matthew's mother gave us coconut juice from there plantation which is super refreshing, apple from their farm. Nicest people we met. Matthew also gave us a lot of tips and resto he recommended. Would have wanted to stay longer if we could.
