It is an absolute jewel combining history, good service and competitive prices. Staff was amazing and tried their best to make our stay as comfortable as possible.

The chateau, its location, and the people who work there make this place truly magical for a night or two. It was our pleasure to stay here on our first night in Normandy. Philippe shared many interesting details about the history of the place and also recommended and booked a restaurant for dinner (which was amazing, by the way). The breakfast was great! We would definitely recommend staying at this chateau when exploring Normandy!

What a treat for us to be able to stay in such an amazing place, made even more special by our hosts Nathalie and Pascale. So friendly and helpful. The breakfast and platters were outstanding. They made us feel at home and our little dog felt the same as she was reluctant to come out with us some mornings.!

What a privilege to be able to stay in this small chateau that can feel so much like home so quickly. We were on our way from the ferry port of Ouistreham to relatives in the far west of Brittany and it was the perfect place to spend the first night of our journey. Pascale made us feel like returning friends even though we had never been there before. After dinner in Avranches which Pascale booked for us we had a very good night’s sleep in the comfortable bed and a lovely breakfast to help us on our way again the following day after a very pleasant stroll around the grounds.

That the staff were lovely, place was welcoming and comfortable, breakfast being provided was delicious, met other nice travellers, you can do a nice garden stroll to discover the nature and there was parking on site.

“Like a fairy tale”

Everything about this accommodation was perfect for us. We were very kindly received by the hostesses Pascale and Nathalie. Our dog was also very welcome :) The gîte, the building behind the castle, is spacious, beautifully and attractively decorated and very clean. The chateau is in a beautiful location and the garden is simply a fairy tale in April. All the shrubs and trees were in full bloom. We enjoyed a delicious breakfast basket with sandwiches, different types of toppings and fruit and when we had a small problem with the wifi, that was solved immediately. Chocolate was brought at Easter, how thoughtful! There is really a lot to do in the area. From beautiful picturesque towns and villages to museums about the Second World War. Several supermarkets are 12 minutes away in Avranches. In Chateau La Rametière you really lack nothing. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to enjoy a beautiful and interesting stay in Normandy. The chateau itself is stunning. It has a rich history. The room had a lot of space for 4 people. The breakfast was well done. I only wished that we had more time to explore the property.

The whole place: comfortable, calm, beautiful garden, spacious rooms . Furniture and decoration matching in style. Bathroom comfortable and excellent modern appliances. The host is very welcoming and attentive.

“Fabulous old world french chateau”

Beautiful old world french chateau, meticulously kept, full of charm. Maeva and Pascale were very hospitable and friendly. It was a great experience staying here, especially as charles De Gaul also stayed here regularly. Avranches is a lovely town close by with lots of history and great food. Also the bed was particularly comfortable.
