“Perfect Family Stay in Plett”
This boutique hotel is a hidden gem with only three rooms, offering a truly intimate and 'paradisal' feel. We stayed in the family room with a garden view and loved having our own patio, with access to a cozy common area with a fireplace and a bilardo. The entire property is located in a stunning, safe area. Our room was spacious, spotless, and incredibly comfortable. Between the wonderful breakfast and the private lagoon beach just steps away, complete with towels and umbrellas provided by our host, this was easily our favourite stay in South Africa!

Beautiful room, everything was top notch clean and we felt very, very comfortable. Anneke is extremely welcoming and kind and we felt like at home in her B&B. You can sit outside and enjoy the terrace, drinks and snacks are provided in an honesty bar to purchase. The breakfast is freshly made and delicious. The house is inside a gated community making it safe.

Tidal Retreat is a little piece of heaven in this world. Jan and Anneke are the perfect hosts and welcomed us into their beautiful accommodation as if we were family. We were travelling with our 2 sons (10yrs and 13 yrs) and couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful location to spend Easter weekend 2025. From the amazing views of the wrap around balcony, the private beach, Bessie’s lovely breakfasts, the cleanliness and attention to detail of the apartment and most of all the warm welcome and brilliant guidance and advice that Jan and Anneke offered us during our stay. Please think of us when you embark on your new venture, we will definitely visit.

This was just amazing, we loved every minute of our stay with Jan & Anneka, they were amazing hosts. They were so welcoming and it was a privilege to stay at there beautiful home. It was very clean and very comfortable.They are very knowledgeable about plettenberg bay and surrounding areas and nothing is to much trouble. There is access to a private beach and the breakfast was a real treat before heading out on for the day. We stayed there for 5 days and it is the most quiet and tranquil place I have ever stayed. I would recommend staying at this property as it is safe and secure and within distance of everything you need on your doorstep. If I go back to plettenberg bay I will most definitely stay here again. Love Shaun, Sarah & Hollie
