Beautiful. Located in the heart of Plett and a quick stroll away from the beach, yet in an amazingly tranquil spot, surrounded by greenery and ancient trees. The staff were outstanding.

Lovely intimate hotel very close to the centre of Plett which is a delightful town and well worth a visit. Shout out to the staff for getting us a doctors appointment so quickly. Would highly recommend The Old Rectory.

The old VOC building breathes history, the personnel makes you feel at home, the location is central though secluded and close to the beach.

The pool area is heavenly, it’s just 1 minute to the beach for a swim, the staff are unbelievable and the hotel just has a lovely relaxed and effortless feel to it! The restaurant is amazing too, honestly didn’t need to leave the hotel for 2 days! It really is the best boutique hotel I have ever stayed in!

“Real 5 star luxury boutique hotel”
I am not usually one for 5* proper boutique hotels, but as I was travelling down the garden route with my mother, I decided she should have a really spoiling stay one of the nights. It was worth it, everything was a step up from the other places we've stayed, the attentive, helpful and on the ball staff, the excellent drinks, brilliant breakfast and the ambiance of the place. It's a real gem and protected from the wind too.

We loved our stay in the Old Rectory. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. They went above and beyond to make us feel at home in the hotel. Thanks to Marvin on reception for the great tips on what to do and where to go, and to Johnny, Fortune, the girls at breakfast and all the staff for making our stay extra special. The women at breakfast also gave my husband a cake and sang him happy birthday on the morning of his birthday which was a lovely touch. The rooms, food and service were all exceptional. Clean rooms and comfy beds. We had dinner in the restaurant when we landed and the food was all delicious.. The drinks were also great, especially while getting to enjoy them in front of the open fire. We also loved the turn down service and the extra special touches like the poems left on the bed and the hot water bottles in the bed for winter. Would highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Plettenberg.
