“Luxury hotel with great food and staff”

This is a fabulous hotel. The breakfasts and dinners were fantastic. Dinner was so nice that we never went anywhere else for dinner. Dibs looked after us really well all through our stay. All the staff were fantastic

“Perfect in every way”

We last visited this property 14 years ago and were concerned that it would not live up to our fond memories of it. However, it surpassed every expectation. The attention to detail, friendliness and caring of the staff, cleanliness and facilities throughout are exceptional for a small boutique hotel. Nothing was too much trouble and done with a smile. Even down to our car being cleaned each morning. My wife celebrated her birthday here and due to unforeseen circumstances we could not celebrate her special day that day. So the following morning and to our surprise the staff brought her breakfast, formed a choir and broke into song, delivering her birthday cake the following morning. We had family in a much more expensive hotel around the corner and Lairds beat them hands down.

The property was very nice & relaxed, everyone was very friendly and you didn’t even have to give your room number when ordering as they knew it. The food choice was limited but the food quality was excellent. The place was very clean.

Beautiful hotel, lovely rooms and pool area. Staff are exceptional and we are the best service we have ever had in any hotel we have stayed in in the world. We loved their bread and marmalade so much we asked them to make some for us to take with us! Special mention to Eddie, Gertrude, the amazing chef and all the other staff!

Very accommodating with our request to check-in early due to illness within our party; they were able to have one of our two rooms ready when we arrived at lunchtime. Beautiful setting, lovely pools and excellent food. All staff were extremely welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. All rooms of a very high standard.

“A tranquil garden retreat”

The tranquility of the landscaped gardens, the poolside seating areas and the the food. We also enjoyed the attentive service provided by the staff, particularly by Eddie.

Most phenominal property. Always stayed at Tsala Treetops and this exceeded all expectations. We will go back

What stands out with Lairds is the people. The spread care, happiness and like to do their utmost for the stay at any point. The breakfast was really good! The location was perfect for us and we did daytrips north and south of the hotel. Our room (11) was large, comfotable and clean. This was the best stsy for us out of totally 5 in South Africa.

Very comfortable room with private patio. Superb gardens with beautiful planting. Staff were extremely friendly and made us feel at home. Food we chose for our evening meal was very good and the breakfast menu was of a high quality and well presented.

The room was excellent as was the food. The service was exceptional and special thanks to Deputy who was brilliant! It is a little piece of tranquil paradise.

“Lovely lodge in peaceful surroundings”

The lodge is lovely and the staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very tastef ully decorated although some form of net curtaining would be helpful. We had someone staring into our room opposite the second pool, while we were getting changed. Not everyone has the manners to avert their gaze and love a good stare.

It is a beautiful estate in an excellent location - so much to do just a short drive away. The smiling staff are exceptional and nothing is too much trouble. The meals are all delicious and the breakfast is amazing.
