It was very close to the beach but we were ordered by a guide who claimed it was private and we shouldn't be there

“Nice budget stay”

Amazing host and position directly in front of the beach with the turtles. Very cheap, you get what you pay for! Which is not a lot, but it works if you are on a budget and need a nice stay during the Arribada. Has AC though! Easy to arrive and has closed parking if you are lucky to find space.

“Sufficient”

This is one of the only accomodations in Ostional to see the turtles arrive. It is basic but comfortable. We arrived late and left after the turtles in the morning so didn’t spend much time there. The landlady was helpful and waited for us to arrive.

Perfect location for an overnight stay after or before having a guided tour to see the arribada. Host was really nice and helpful. We arrived on Sunday and there was a soccer competition across the street, super nice. Small room, but with an aircon and hot shower!

This is the best place to stay if you want to see the arribada of turtles! The starting point of the tours is just right across the street. Ostional is quite far to drive from other locations, it is advisable to drive there in daylight and stay in the village for a night. The house is basic but comfortable, the rooms have AC and stable wifi. The hosts were super kind depsite the language barrier.

It was right next to the beach, in a quiet village and there were a lot of animals around the house. The food we ordered was very good, the hosts were helpful and frendly.

The best thing about this place, was leaving it. Yes there was a bed and a dry roof over my head to stay. But that's it. Really. I was glad to leave this place and these people.

Isabel who ran the place was extremely friendly and helpful. The breakfast was typical Costa Rican. Coffee was good. Room was very basic considering the price. The location is great if you’re there to see the turtles. We just happened to get lucky.

There may have been a language barrier between me and the older lady who welcomed me in, but this didn't stop her providing a really warm welcome and with the help of Google translate, she was really helpful and accommodating and with a smile throughout :) The area outside the rooms is also pleasant enough to spend time. The property is in a great location for the beach.
