If you prefer your own space in a quiet environment surrounded by nature and monkeys,this is the place to be! We spent 3 days with our two teenage boys in Villas Kalei ,enjoyed the modern villa with the pool (salted water) and used quite a lot the shared kitchen which is fully equipped and practical.Tamarindo is a 30-40 min drive,playa grande only a couple of minutes by car and further north many beautiful beaches to discover as well!Jeisha and Marcos were wonderful hosts and gave us super tips for beaches and restaurants!

“Beautiful place and great hosts, near a spectacular beach.”
The property is pristine. The villas are private, comfortable, and well equipped with a fridge and coffee maker. The shared gourmet kitchen is modern, spacious, well equipped, with thoughtful ways to separate food among the guests. The grounds are immaculate, with multiple tasteful sitting areas. Very private. Twice, a large group of howler monkeys passed through the canopy above the grounds. Marcos and Jeisha are very friendly and helpful hosts.

Our two-day stay at Vilas Kalei was absolutely wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we felt a sense of peace and calm that’s hard to find elsewhere. The entire place is beautifully designed and every detail feels thoughtful and harmonious, creating a perfect balance between comfort and nature. The surroundings are quiet and serene, ideal for anyone looking to truly unwind. Everything was spotlessly clean, well maintained, and clearly cared for with love. The owners are exceptionally kind, welcoming, and attentive, always ready to help while giving you plenty of privacy. Their warmth made our stay feel even more special. We left feeling completely refreshed and grateful for such a beautiful experience. Vilas Kalei is a little slice of paradise.

Couldn’t recommend Villas Kalei more. It’s really well located but also tucked away from any noise, other than birds, monkeys and other nature. The rooms are so well thought out and private but build with and around nature. The couple who run it were so lovely and really helped us with everything we needed. Great value for money and would definitely look to stay with them again

When I go back to Costa Rica this is the only place that I will be staying at. Michael and Jeisha were so nice. They greeted me and my partner when we arrived after a long day of travels. The villa was absolutely beautiful, it exceeded my expectations. I never wanted to leave. They were so kind and answered all of our concerns. I wish I could give them more than a 5 star.
