“Great place to unwind”

Relaxed surf camp, close to the beach. Just 4 cabins/treehouses arranged around the pool. We stayed in one of the treehouses. The sides are louvred which keeps it nice and cool, there was also a ceiling fan, balcony with seats and hammock. Despite being budget accommodation with shared bathrooms, towels were provided. Quiet, chilled vibe, much nicer than Tamarindo(you can get a taxi boat across the estuary there if you want). The bar/restaurant at the front of the property had live music and Great food. They close at 9pm though, so won't keep you awake.

“Perfect for a surf getaway in a peaceful town”

Simple and clean place including dorm we were staying in. Very cosy and intimate setting with other like-minded guests. Hospitable host Dawn and friendly/caring volunteers. Also love the fact that they send announcements on tide timings and events! It shows that they care about you having a good time and best time to surf :) Location wise - easy to rent a board and get out within minutes to shred at a beach that's way more peaceful than the awful tamarindo...

The outdoor space is beautiful and has plenty of shade with hammocks everywhere, the cabanas were comfortable, and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The beach, which is just a few steps away, was also beautiful and good for surfing.

1- direct access to the most beautiful beach in the world, 1 minute by foot I’d day it’s pretty unbeatable 2- the staff, from the owner to the workawayers, is what make our stay truly special, connecting with people that share your same vibe. Everyone is super kind, helpful, great conversations. Loved it.

Absolutely perfect. What a great community at Playa Grande Surf Camp. The facilities and staff were wonderful. Can't ask for a better location. Already thinking about my next visit.

Location was awesome, just a 2 minute walk to a beautiful beach. The restaurant (Cafe mar azul) right next door was great.

“Loved everything”

Loved everything about the camp! Nice stuff (volunteers) who made the stay awesome (Fanny). Only lovely people around. Dorm was nice, clean, safe and bed very comfortable. All bathrooms are clean and get cleaned every day. Kitchen well equipped with all you need including blender and free coffee. Location is very nice for beginner surfers and intermediates as the camp is located only a 2 minute walk away from the beach. Nice surfing lessons available with amazing teachers - totally recommend to book with the camp. Next to it you have a restaurant with very delicious food.

Great communication and the room was very nice! Comfortable mattress was a winner also.

Stayed in the dorm, good size, comfy beds. Kitchen and pool area always spotless. Beach is 2 mins away, great surf lessons and food from cafe next door was superb (did have to takeaway every night as always fully booked). Staff super friendly as well as all the guests, had a great time as a solo traveller.

It’s located 2 minutes walk from the Playa Grande beach, the common areas (pool, kitchen, dining tables) were nice and tidy, laundry service available for 15$ per 5kg, the staff were friendly, free coffee in the morning. There’s a restaurant next door.
