“A lovely experience.”

We loved our stay here! My wife and I were on honeymoon exploring the yucatan peninsula and we finished our trip at this resort. We had a great butler called Hugo who looked after us so well! Hugo ensured we had a great experience and that we had everything we needed. Ocean Riviera are very lucky to have him. The resort it self is nice with lots of different places to relax and explore. The bed was incredible comfortable!

The resort is amazing. The food and activities are excellent, with a wide variety of restaurants, a cinema, a game room, and plenty of entertainment options. What truly made our experience exceptional was the manager, Israel. When we had a minor issue, he handled it with such care and professionalism that he turned the situation into something truly incredible. The resort is clearly under outstanding leadership.

Ocean Rivera Paradise Hotel - Never again All-inclusive-trips are not the usual way to spend our family vacations, but for the sake of safety and activities for teens we decided to book the Ocean Hotel in Playa del Carmen for the last days of our 3 week vacation in Mexico. In Baja California/ Cabo San Lucas we already spent 3 nights at Riu Santa Fe all inclusive, which was an overall pleasant experience and good value for money. There was something for everyone of all ages with no additional cost. So we were expecting something similar when arriving at Ocean Rivera Paradise. But from the minute we arrived our experience there was more than disappointing. When we stepped into the hotel, the person in charge of the check-in couldn’t find our reservation on the list and was getting impatient with us, almost pushing us aside. While waiting for the check-in procedures a guy from the hotel marketing approached us in an aggressive upselling manner, trying to invite us to a breakfast the next day to introduce us to the premium membership. He seemed almost offended when we were not interested. When we arrived in our room the sleep sofa for our son hadn’t been converted to a bed in fact the staff seemed to be surprised that three people would need three beds. The room was very nice though, good size, clean, well kept. The premises were also modern and clean but somehow sterile and vast while the actual hotel beach was small, crowded and nothing special. But the worst was being nickled and dimed for every “extra” (bag of chips 10 USD). There is nothing exclusive in having to stand in line for 45 minutes at 8:00 am to make a reservation for an a la carte restaurant. When the lady at the counter realized that the reservation for the Japanese restaurant wasn‘t for three adults, but included our 12yr old son, she first told me that I couldn‘t make the reservation at this counter because we‘ve booked via Booking.com, then „invited“ me to a „5 course meal at the rooftop

We were guests under the privilege section, we stayed for 4 nights - two days we used the Privilege restaurant for breakfast and for the other days we used the buffet, we found the service in buffet far greater than that in the more exclusive restaurant.

The hotel features a beautiful landscape and offers plenty of space. The majority of the staff were incredibly kind and helpful, particularly Cintia from Yelly Playhouse, who went above and beyond—Matthew and Hannah adored her! The entertainers deserve high praise as well. Overall, the staff at this hotel are fantastic!

“Excellent decision for taking a family vacation”

This hotel has definitely became one of my recurrent hotels. The concierge service is incredibly personalized and subtle (unlike other hotels that tend to be harassing). The children's area is very pleasant, and the food meets expectations. I highly recommend the extra-priced dishes; they're very reasonably priced and the quality is excellent. The service from Karen as concierge, Julio in the restaurants, and all the pool bartenders is incredible.

“Fantastic holiday!”

Perfect getaway for a family of 4. Daisy was everything we could've asked for. I asked the hotel before I arrived for a ground floor room facing a bar and they did not disappoint, I'm not sure if it was luck or by design but it really did make our holiday. The only negative I have is the aggressive attempt to sell me a timeshare/ upgrade straight after check in even after I said I wasn't interested. This continued for the next two days with early morning phone calls and notes through the door. Just be advised they will try this tell them you're not interested and move on, I heard stories of people loosing three hours to this sales pitch. Bottom line, fantastic resort, food bars, beach, pools with a sprinkling of wild animals. A place you and your family will love.

The food, the staff, the location, the property.. everything was sobwell designed and organized. Once you sorted out how to make reservations for dinner was fun to explore outside the buffet. The pools were clean and the swim up bars were perfect. The wildlife on the property were friendly and curious.
