Overview
This luxury AAA Five Diamond Award winner resort in the Riviera Maya is made up of a series of low-rise buildings connected by waterways. It is surrounded by a lush tropical forest and offers wonderful sea views. Fairmont Mayakoba’s 20,000 square foot Fairmont Mayakoba offers treetop treatment areas and a range of beauty and massage treatments based on the region’s local tradition and flora. There is an additional charge for access to the fitness centre and spa area. There are several on-site restaurants and bars at the resort, including a grill and seafood restaurant, a sushi bar and a swim-up bar. Discovery Club & Adventure Camp offer cultural and educational activities for kids 5 to 12 years old. El Camaleon Riviera Maya Golf Club, recognized by the Audubon Society, is suited for all skill levels and was designed by Greg Norman. The resort is car-free and guests can access the different areas by boat, on foot following the well-marked nature trails, or by bicycle or staff-driven electric golf cart. Located next to the 18-hole El Camaleón Golf Course, Mayakoba resort features 5 outdoor swimming pools and offers private access to Playa del Carmen beach. Cancún International Airport is about 45 minutes’ drive away and Playa del Carmen can be reached in about 15 minutes by car.

“Magical”
Breakfast is amazing, make sure you get the superb one. Beach is great, watersports included and there is always beach chairs available. Make sure you try the spa its incredible.

“Great Stay at Mayakoba”
The resort is very well maintained and functions really well and the premises are really beautiful. The gastronomic experience is unbelievably good, all restaurants are delicious and breakfast is amazing. Cocktails are great (specially the classical Mexican like Margaritas, Mezcalitas, Palomas) the ones created in the resort are average. Especially call out to Victor from La Laguna who prepared a delicious Guacamoles and made some great recommendations and was always very kind, as well as Luis from the breakfast, and Fabian Olmo who support us with booking the restaurant

“A beautiful resort with plenty to do!”
The beach was clean. Beds were very comfortable. Free boat ride was very relaxing and fun. They managed to get halal meat for us every night (we told them in advance) so that was very helpful. They celebrated our anniversary every night! There were many cool birds in the compound! Iguanas too!

“I enjoyed it very much.”
The staff unbelievably professional and kind. Always with smile and many remembered my name. Any need was met promptly in the room, around the complex. I enjoyed the breakfast buffet. It had the biggest choice of food. The boat tour gave the idea of the magnitude of Mayakoba: the “manglares” the canals. It is a place where you can walk as exercise to go from place to another surrounded by beautiful green areas. I like my room side and view.

“Superb hotel in a superb location, with excellent service and an outstanding beach”
The hotel is inserted in a superb location, surrounded by nature and by water channels. The beach is excellent, with white sand, hot water and no sea weeds. The hotel is very well kept, with fabulous gardens and excellent rooms and facilities. We got an upgrade to a "casita", which made the experience even better. The staff is very kind, paying attention to every detail and always trying to find ways to be more helpful. The food options are varied and of an excellent quality.

All staff was excellent - front desk, concierge, restaurants, spa, shops, room service - helpful and friendly. Variety of restaurant options was good too. I also enjoyed some of the resort activities, such as handcrafts, river boat etc.
