“Not so good. Quiet and boring.”

It was relatively clean. Most of the staff were friendly enough. One of the owners was nasty. The bed was uncomfortable to the point the bed frame was pressing up against my spine. Insufficient water pressure and no hot water to bath with. Easy to find much better, closer to the beach with better facilities for around the same price. No natural sunlight in the morning...so overall, the place sucked.

“Nice economic hotel near the beach”

This hotel is quite convenient, located a few blocks away from the bus terminal that leads to the airport and from the ferry terminal that leads to Cozumel. It has all that one needs: hot water in the shower, it is very very clean and it is silent at night time so one can have a good rest. There are a lot of restaurants and small business nearby where you can get a coffee, or a good breakfast, the beach is also a few blocks away. There is a common kitchen and in the morning you can prepare some coffee or tea. The personnel in the reception was always kind and answer all our questions with a smile, also when I arrived I got some help to carry my suitcase from the boy in the reception

Price was more or less ok.

Playa del Carmen is a very noisy city, so I chose the hotel, which seemed quieter. As expected, I slept well.Staff was very friendly.

I had a good sleep. No noise, very clean. AC was not too strong. 26-27°. Owner and staff were nice. Not so far from the beach and close to the stores and colectivos to Tulum or Cancun. Price was good. Bonus: Downstairs is a store with many souvenirs etc with a best prices in Playa.

the staff really friendly. Laundry service. confortable beds, small kitchen. Very clean. 10min away from the beach, but that is good because you are far away from all the noise on la Quinta Avenida, so you can rest properly

The place was clean, run by a family, who are very friendly. It's towards the central part of the city but only a few blocks from the beach. I really enjoyed getting to know everyone who worked there and the people staying there. They even have internal laundry service and offered me a ride to the ferry for Cozumel. I did a little bit of translating for them so I think that was out of the norm for someone who stayed around a week and helped a bit with a few English only speaking custormers.

This place is owned by a very nice Russian lady, who herself has been traveling a lot and wanted to create a great place for other travelers. She succeeded. There are both dorms and private rooms, the place is very clean, the staff is very polite and helped me with any questions I had (I speak Spanish so no idea if they speak English as well), the internet is very strong. The location is 5-10 min walk from the bus stations (Alterna and Turistica), there are many restaurants around, laundry place right next door, several big supermarkets, 5th Ave is a short walk down the street. The private room I stayed in had AC, fridge and a TV, the bathroom was well equipped and there was hot water (if you really need it in the Playa climate). There was a communal kitchen as well, in case you really want to cook your own food in Mexico. I stayed in Mexico for 2 weeks and in Central America for a month so far, Alme was certainly one of the best places I booked!

Not many people live here. It's quiet even in a dorm room. The bed is clean and comfortable. The staff is kind and willing to help even if there are some language barriers.

The hostel was super quiet, they put bedsheets to separate the bottom beds of the bunkbeds. It was clean.
