Great location, beautiful bay, amazing hearing the waves crashing all day & night. Friendly stray cat was a bonus! Single beds basic & firm but very sleepable. Internet worked - mostly - but okay since remote.

The apartment had everything we needed including kitchen appliances and bathroom with washing machine and bidet. It's a lovely private place located right on the ocean with plenty of place to relax and enjoy the sunshine and the view and sound of the ocean. We particularly liked the maracuja garden and enjoyed dinners by the beautiful sunsets. Wifi worked well and communication with owners was spot on.

Very secluded location with 100% tranquility. All you hear is the ocean waves crashing at night. The person who greeted us was very nice (didn’t speak English which wasn’t a problem as I can speak Spanish). We received fresh fruit locally grown. The kitchen is sufficiently equipped with basic utensils.

The location is great literally on the beach, when you sleep you can hear the sea waves which is super relaxing! Host is super nice and friendly, they hand as a basket of fresh vegetables upon arrival and even got a carnival sweet as breakfast gift!

The owner is lovely. Location for solitude and quietness. But with a cafe down the road for coffee or cafe food. Kitchen and bbq area were really well set up. Fresh fruit from the garden from the owner.

Suppose you want to enjoy some peace, recharge your batteries and get away from the ubiquitous tourist attractions while having reasonable comfort and convenience. In that case, this is the right place for you. The owners, Juan and Emily, are lovely, accommodating people, strongly tied to the region but also very well-traveled. They only speak Spanish but don't worry about not understanding each other. They live on-site and look after the house and the adjacent fruit and vegetable fields and stepped gardens. Surely they will share their fresh, natural products with you proudly, and believe me, all of them are excellent. This lovely local couple is always full of good mood and ready to help you with anything and make your stay as pleasant as possible. After we had traveled around 40 countries around the world, I must say that they were some of our best hosts. There are practically no foreign tourists in the place. It may be different in the high season, but we were the only foreigners in February. On the other hand, the site is a favorite stop for many cyclists who vanquish the winding roads of the surrounding mountains and a popular weekend location for locals. Please note that there is no mobile phone signal, so you can only connect to the wifi at the property. For us, this was perfectly satisfactory. The wifi in Buen Leon is solid and stable, and sufficient to connect multiple devices simultaneously (including watching movies or live TV). The nearby Oliva restaurant with a beautiful terrace over the ocean with very friendly staff is a good and cheap place to eat from 11 am to 5 pm (no meat, just fish, sea fruit, and local vegetables). But beware, you can only pay cash there (the nearest ATM is up to Mogan - about 45 min. by car - the same as the petrol station:) Minimarket (Spar) is 7,5 km away and open 8 am to 8 pm, Sunday till 2 pm). It may seem inconvenient to many, but it is exactly the kind of place we look for when we travel the world.

The place is very remote, quiet and peaceful. Juan and Emmy were super nice to us, they also offered a basket of fruits and vegetables, as well as showed us the finca. We really enjoyed our stay and also took a walk to another beach (it's possible when the water goes low, ask Juan).
