Rooms were fabulous. There was even a lovely large basket you could use to carry your stuff to the beach/pool. Bathroom was amazing. I did not want for anything. Breakfast was amazing everything you could want and freshly cooked.

The room was spacious and clean and the cleaning staff good. The staff in general were very good. The staff at the restaurant were excellent and went above and beyond to cater for our requirements for gluten free meals, ensuring we had plenty of options and offering to cook specific versions of meals if required. I stayed at the same hotel last year and rated it very highly. This time, everything was different. The hotel did not point out during the reservation process that the spa center is no longer free (as it was last year), but instead costs €19 per person for one hour!! For what? A small jacuzzi measuring about 2×2 meters, a small sauna, and a steam room—something more suitable for a private apartment than for a five-star hotel. And this requires an additional charge? What kind of five-star hotel offers guests only a room and meals? I also believe they have changed the chef, as the food selection is at a lower level than last year. Perhaps I would not be so strict if I had not stayed just 15 days ago at the Lara Barut Collection, where I paid a lower price for an all-inclusive hotel with a perfect offer, excellent additional activities, and an outstanding spa center. Iberostar Selection Palma is no longer a five-star hotel. And not to forget—the rooms are still nice, the view is excellent, and the housekeeping staff is very good, but the furniture already requires refurbishment. In the bathroom, you will find only dispensers with shampoo, conditioner, and body lotion, and only upon request will you receive cotton pads for makeup removal—everything else that normally accompanies a five-star hotel offer is no longer available. I don’t know whether the hotel is experiencing financial difficulties, but that is the impression I got, and I certainly will not return here again.

Title: Perfectly Average - Not The "5 stars" Quality You'd Expect Rating: 6 / 10 (Pleasant) We've just returned from a 10 days at the Iberostar Selection Playa de Palma and left feeling a little disappointed, primarily because our expectations were not met for the price point. Let's be clear: this is not a bad hotel. The facilities are clean, the pools are nice, and the location by the beach is excellent. The staff we interacted with were generally pleasant and did their jobs fine. However, the overall experience feels very average and is certainly overrated for what is marketed as a "5 stars" property. For the significant amount of money we paid, we expected a more premium and distinguished experience. Instead, it felt very much like a standard three-star all-inclusive, just with slightly nicer wallpaper.
