“Very happy”
Very peaceful and calm place with Access to playa avellanas though the famous bridge over the mangrove. The staff was always very helpful and kind. The breakfast was also varied and delicious.

“Magical place, with privacy but I never feel alone”

Close to beach. Big room with large comfy bed and lots of light. Cleaned daily. Howler monkeys and iguanas in the grounds. Decent breakfast and lovely staff.

“Good stay based on the the beach and the surf for kids. Just eat and drink elsewhere”
The proximity of the beach and the lovely walk there. The rooms were spacious and clean. The monkeys and wildlife If you are in the area we recommend the little Soda next door to Gregory’s just a few minutes drive away. They have delicious well priced casadas. We went there every day to eat instead

“Hidden gem of a place to connect with nature and ocean while meeting some interesting guests!”
I found this gem of a place in 2022 and was excited to come back! Set in the nature, with private and unique path to the beach, grabbing a surf from the rental shop on site and getting to the beach early is a magic ...the cabins are comfortable and beds are spacious. Sebastian, the manger, was friendly and helpful attending to us during our short but busy stay! Can't wait to come back and stay for days to fully immerse.

“We had a great time, the staff were great.”
The hotel was great, we had a great time and the access to the beach was just amazing. Breakfast though was a hit and miss. We ordered and it just took way too long. In the end, they miss place the order and we had to wait even longer. Breakfast was okay, if we would have known , we would have gone somewhere else.

“Friendly relaxed vibes by the beach”
The access to the beach is the best in the area - private to the accomodation and with Howler Monkeys providing the wake up call. Super friendly staff and great breakfast included in the stay. There are other restaurants in the area, but we didn't bother as the food was yummy and we enjoyed the ease of heading back to our room. The room had more amenities (e.g. fridge) than we expected and having porch with hammock to relax at the end of the day was really great.

Lovely place. Cabins are very well kept. The staff at the reception/bar/restaurant are brilliant. Surf boards for hire on site.

Cabinas just few meters from playa Avellanas. You can reach the playa trough a bridge over the mangroves; so amazing view ! The Avellanas beach is a special one: you can see wonderful sunsets and surf all day long! They rent surf board. The breakfast is fine and the restaurant quite good. The guy at the reception is friendly and supportive. Well done cabinas la a olas staff!!

“The perfect Surfing retreat.”
Everything was perfect. It’s a minimalistic retreat where you are in close contact with nature and away from the crowds. The staff was specially amazing, with their kindness and all their tips about surfing in the region. Will go back.
