The hosts were the highlight for us- so welcoming and chatty. Even though they didnt speak much English they made a big effort to talk to us and we all laughed a lot together. Food was delicious Great value for money - 30 euros for breakfast, dinner and lunch packet.

“Best accomodation we ever had”

Everything, a 5 star hotel is not even compared to how we have been treated for 7 days. The accomodation, the housing, the food, Djavid family and the children were amazing. One of the best trips of our lifes.

Amazing place and such a friendly kind host!

Amazing location, so much rook to yourself. Proper rustic experience. The host is exceptionally nice and cooks great unique food with big portions.

It is a lovely cozy ranch that is beautifully set in the forest. There’s a hammock by a little fountain which is very comfy. Unfortunately we didn’t get to meet the host due to an emergency but he had arranged for the relatives next door at Maslo to take care of us for checkin, dinner and breakfast and we have seldom been treated this well. Amazing foods and great company.

The family who run this guesthouse looked after us very well, cooking us delicious meals in their house a few minutes away. The packed lunch was very tasty and the guesthouse is located right on the peaks of the Balkans route. Had a very quiet and comfortable nights sleep.

The hosts were incredible! We had such a great evening with them, they were incredibly friendly and generous with their time and cooked us delicious homemade, homegrown food.

Lovely welcoming family and the accomodation was com fortable and private.

We had a great time staying at Isov ranch. The small cottage is located of a dirt road, surrounded by a forest, a very cost setting with a hammock and place to sit outside. On the inside it looks like an authentic mountain hut, and has two rooms, one on each level. The host is super friendly, although he speaks little English, he is very communicative and told us a lot of stories. The food, made by his wife, was the best we had on the peaks of the balkans trail. He serves dinner and breakfast at place outside his house, a bit down the road from the cottage you sleep in. If you're looking for accomodation in Babino Polje, I can only recommend it!

The family that runs the property were super kind and friendly. You eat at the family house which is about a 4 minute walk from the accommodation, which was a lovely home cooked meal for dinner and breakfast was outstanding the best of the trip! Overall really enjoyed our Stay :)

The host was very welcoming and engaging. He shared stories about life in Montenegro mountains in summer, hard work but idyllic. The dinner that was cooked for us was delicious.

Nice traditional log cabin, the ground floor is spacious and comfortable with a log burning stove. Hosts are friendly and can offer a hot meal (the food was delicious). Warm hospitality from genuine people.

Very cosy house with a nice view and not close to the street! It was cold outside but when we arrived the owner put on the fireplace. We could have diner at their place. It was a lot and very tasteful. We enjoyed the evening. Very nice and friendly people. Super host!

“Authentic experience and lovely family”

You won't regret staying at Isov Ranch if you want an authentic experience and a feeling of home and family. I was the only guest the night I stayed there. I was doing the Balkan Peaks trekking route. When I arrived I had a small paper message welcoming at the door. And when I entered and met the owner there was another lady I saw during the hike that day, but she was not staying there. We had some tea, and when she left I tried to say some Montenegrian words I had noted down, and we started an exchange of our languages, which was nice. Dinner was at his family house, nearby, and when I went out for it I noticed the most beautiful night sky full of stars. Don't miss out on that. Dinner was delicious and I felt really welcomed, we laughed a lot together. During the night I felt a bit sick, probably from something I had on Doberdol or for eating too much that night, and in the morning I was still not 100%. They cooked a traditional and delicious breakfast that I was sad I couldn't eat properly, but I took some as packed lunch for the hike. They let me rest for a while on their sofa to get better and gave me tea. They weren't sure I should hike that day and suggested I stay one more night, but I felt better so I decided to go, even though I felt sad for leaving them. Maybe we will see each other again if I come back to Montenegro. Thank you for everything 💛 Hugs, Cris

“Peak of the Balkans short stay”

Beautiful stay in a little cabin in the woods all to yourself. The host family live 250m away. The cabin consists of 2 levels, the bottom with 2 beds, a wood fired stove, kettle for tea, power for charging. The bathroom is by the front door. Upstairs consists of a small room with 2 more beds. The interior is lovely, beautiful rugs on the floor and lovely tapestries all over the wall. You enjoy breakfast and dinner inside the families home, they are truly lovely people.
