Overview
This beachfront resort enjoys a spectacular location around a small and scenic port in Plakias. It offers self-catering accommodation with sea views, and features landscaped gardens and a pool with bar. The Blue Flag Plakias Beach is ideal for windsurfing, diving and, of course, swimming. While the breathtaking mountain range surrounding Plakias is carved open by the Kourtaliotis and Kotsyfos Gorges. Each air-conditioned unit has a fully equipped kitchen with kitchenware and a large dining room. Amenities include free Wi-Fi, safe, and TV. The bathroom includes a hairdryer. Sun beds and umbrellas are available around the pool for all guests to use. Children can enjoy safe play on the playground. There is also a games room available. Plakias Resort is located on the south coast of Crete, 35 km from Rethymnon. The centre of Plakias with shops, taverns and bars is less than 5 minutes’ walk. Free parking is provided.

Everything, we were in the new part. All was great! Loved the many pools and the fact you had aircondition seperate in each room. And the view was amazing.

“Enjoyed our stay”
Great room, plenty of space, very clean, comfortable bed. Excellent location, close to the lovely beach, easy parking. Staff responded quickly when we had a concern and resolved the issue. Towels for the beach included, free beach loungers and several swimming pools available for use which was useful when the weather turned very windy. Easy 10-15 min stroll to the town/tavernas, and several supermarkets nearby.

“Lovely, clean, spacious apartments with great views”
Lovely, clean, spacious apartment. Great views from the balcony. Several pools to choose from and they are always quiet 5 minutes walk to the beach and beach bar . 15-20 minutes walk to the harbour. Staff very friendly and helpful. Daily room clean (except Sunday).

“A great apartment for a family stay”
Nice location, less crowded than other sites in Crete. The apartment is wonderful and has all a family would need for a stay. There are several pools on the sites, so you can enjoy one near your room. The beach is couple of minutes walk. There’s a super market 5 minutes away by foot in which you can buy supplies.

“Glorious”
Great location with short walking distance from the beach. We had a spacious second floor room with daily house keeping, comfortable beds with soft pillows. Large terrance with view on the pool-side. Kitchen well equipped with everything you need for daily use. Hotel has a great pool area with two big swimming pools but not too deep so kids can also use them. One small pool with little kids who cannot swim yet.

“An ideal spot close to beach and a little further away from the more crowded end of Plakias town.”
Hotel's own sunbeds were close by and never crowded. The pools on site were under-used by swimmers but the sunbeds nearby were popular, some sunny, some shady. The room was quite private with its own small patio and lawn area. Comfort in the room and standard of its facilities was very good.

“I would recommend it, just for the price the vicinity to the beach. Plakias is lovely.”
The hotel was very close to the beach and we really liked the fact that it was away from the main drag. The beach was beautiful and Plakias is a lovely place to stay. The staff were very friendly (although we didn't see much of them after the first day!). The cleaner came every day and was very efficient.

The only downside is that half board guests don’t get to use even the tap water at dinner time. On top of that we were told we were not allowed to bring our own bottled water to dinner. This caused some friction between us and the maitre’d of the hotel restaurant. For this reason I can’t rate the hotel higher.

“Nice and peace resort, great stay for exploring southern part of the island.”
The resort is very nicely decorated and very clean. Lots of greenery around the pools. The location is very good, close to the beach (there is a road between the resort and the beach) and close to the town of Plakias, where you can go on foot. The reception staff is very friendly and ready to help.

Nice resort, this was our 5th stay. The previous one was in 2017 And I had to admit the premises Is getting old. ( The kitchen pots And pans, the bathrooms). But the Garden Is beautifull, the over all cleanlines Is very good And the reception staff Is very nice And helpfull. The WiFi in the room worked OK And beds were comfortable. We also enjoyed free sun beds ( both beach And pool).
