The Camp Manager Gabriela was fantastic! She welcomed me warmly and I could ask her anything anytime. The mobilehome was super clean and she asked a couple of times if everything was ok. In my opinion there is no better person to represent Happy Camp than her! Happy Camp company you can be very lucky to have her, otherwise my stay would not have been so nice (please have a look at the negative points).

“Family vacation in Plakias, Crete”
The host (Gabriella) is very warm and welcoming and she is able to manage all the little inconveniences that come with the stay and also keeps the homes extra clean. She also gave great recommendations for local places to visit. The homes are well fitted and have enough space. Every home has a big wooden veranda, where we spent most of the time. Hey, Gabriella, if you are reading this - warm greetings. Company fee policy is not uncommon for Greece, but a bit strange and kind of favors long stays over short (we had long one, so it felt ok for me). Policy is all written on booking and on the company site, but read extra carefully. Depending on the services, calculate extra 50-150EUR paid onsite - for sheets/air condition. There is an extra fee for cleaning upon leave - 40EUR that can be withdrawn from the deposit (100EUR), but you can decide to clean yourself and save the money. Actually I always leave the place clean to the best I can and if you decide to clean, you are given a box with cleaning fluids. The extra effort required is not much more than I usually do, so I chose to do it myself. The place feels great for families with kids. Even if you don't choose to use the services in the camping, the city center is well within walking distance. Also there is a very nice bakery (for breakfast) few meters from the camp site and a supermarket. We also saw takeaway regularly delivered on motorcycles. Night life is possible, but only one bar stays open at night. Time to time there are visiting local singes who sing Greek songs in the taverns, one of them must have been a celebrity, because even the waiters had stopped work to listen.
