Overview
Located in Pitsidia village, in a flower garden, Pension Aretoussa is 1.5 km from Kommos Beach. It offers a homemade breakfast and air-conditioned rooms with views to the village or garden. All rooms at the Aretoussa are simply decorated and have lots of sunlight. Each unit has en suite facilities. Beds are equipped with tulle mosquito nets. Breakfast is served daily in the veranda and includes fruit salads and omelets. Guests can watch satellite TV in Aretoussa Pension’s lounge while enjoying a glass of raki made by the owners. Common areas have books, magazines and games such as backgammon that guests are free to use. Pitsidia village has taverns offering fresh fish from Messara Bay. The archaeological site of Phaistos is 5 km away, while the sandy beach of Komos is a 20-minute walk away. Near the hotel, guests can also find super markets, as well as a bus stop connecting to the lively Matala located 4 km away.

It was really value for money . I was there during the festival and this was the only place that did not tripple their prices

“Felt like home”
The hotel is located right in the center of Pitsidia. I was warmly welcomed by the owner and made to feel at home. I asked for a kettle, and one was provided immediately along with a cup :) We were also able to chat about the area, local recommendations, and more. On Kommos Beach turtles lay their eggs!

Very friendly staff and very good breakfast (à la carte). The hotel is in a very convenient position,good to reach a lot of interesting places. The greenery outside the hotel is beautiful (beautiful garden on the back, huge trees on the front and a pleasant veranda where you can have breakfast) and the village is beautiful and full of good restaurants.

Very thoughtful with a mosquito net over the bed, secure carpark and convenient entrances for guests. There was a decent fridge for guest use and Kriss was a very nice host. The garden was beautiful. Short walk up the back to a really friendly village with restaurants around the square.

Kirsten is a suerberb host. She makes welcoming atmosphere and in spacious and cosy Arethousa apartments you got this home like feeling. Moreover Pitsidia is way more fun to stay than Matala. Thanks for all recommendations, we really had an amazing stay thanks to you.
